Marketers are obsessed with dashboards.
Me, I’m obsessed with math.
Because at the end of the day, everything else is noise.
Most marketers spend hours proving ROI with attribution tools, models, and “multi-touch” nonsense.
But I only care about four numbers (PLCC):
1. Payback Period: How fast do I recover my spend from sales?
2. LTV: How long does the money keep coming in?
3. CAC: What does it cost to acquire a customer?
4. Contribution Margin: How much does each sale help cover my fixed costs and profit?
That’s it.
No attribution debates.
No confusing Meta Ads dashboards
No “brand vs. performance” wars.
Just simple mathematics that doesn’t lie.
When the unit economics make sense, you don’t need dashboards to tell you your marketing is winning. Because when everything can be measured, no one takes responsibility for what actually matters.
So, stop worshipping dashboards. Start measuring decisions.

Founders: Be funny on sales calls!
Language and humor are evolved abilities to “groom” (in the sense of a monkey picking fleas off another monkey - a form of social bonding) a counterparty that’s not next to you (or multiple counterparties at once).
When you’re funny, especially humor that demonstrates domain knowledge, neurotransmitters are being released in your prospect’s brain that says “I like this guy. He’s a good guy. I should listen to him.”
This puts them in an information sharing and receptive state.
Be funny! Not silly. Smart-funny. But be funny.
@gnizamang@juicynews4you@tokunbo_wahab@jidesanwoolu So the upthrust of my argument is that "TRUE" federalism & even infrastructural spread will put an end to this mass migration to Lagos & Abuja.
Tinubu seems to have seen that potential, reason he's started with state police. Nigeria needs to be restructured if it must work.
@gnizamang@juicynews4you@tokunbo_wahab@jidesanwoolu@gnizamang, by your argument that means there are no non-littoral nations & states in the world that are blessed with infrastructure, only littoral states because they are close to the ocean. Again, an onlooker will quickly see through your faulty syllogism.
@gnizamang@juicynews4you@tokunbo_wahab@jidesanwoolu@juicynews4you an onlooker would find it easy to tell who the swine is. You have neither countered nor provided a single fact here, yet you're quick to bandy your "I-better-pass-my-neighbour" pearl & swine classism. It is pointless joining issues with you, Ms Fiction.
@juicynews4you@tokunbo_wahab@jidesanwoolu No sir, Lagos is not a victim of the ineptitude of other states, but the deliberate refusal of the FG to devolve critical infrastructure to each zone of the country.
Site the equivalent of Lagos Port in each zone, take sensitive MDAs out of Lagos & watch sanity return.

For someone who doesn't believe product management is real, @nikitabier showed us what world-class product management looks.
Congrats on the legendary run Nikita.
Who want to see Nikita back on the podcast to hear what he learned from this experience?
A bond trader in Frankfurt just discovered that a federal agency in Nigeria can freeze the entire accounts of a state, meaning the State can't repay bond coupons.
That same bond trader wants to offer an African bond to investors in Canada. Would he recommend a Nigerian bond? No.
Why?
Sovereign risk for Nigeria is high.
This is why Nigeria is struggling to attract FDI today. Nigeria is attracting expensive FPI.
Later, you will blame the CIA for self-inflicted wounds
Propaganda is a full industry. We must learn how to simultaneously tell our stories & puncture propaganda.
That is why Chinua Achebe's aphorism comes handy: "Until the lions have their own historians, the history of the hunt will always glorify the hunter."

Even the beneficiary of the rigged 2023 election knows the monumental electoral fraud that brought him into office. He'll most certainly be shocked at his luck why Nigerians did not revolt massively against such brazen electoral fraud.
So ECOWAS knew that Nigeria's 2023 election was rigged, yet they still rewarded President Tinubu with the chairmanship of the organization?
Now they are talking.
Why now?
What has changed?
If you knew from the beginning that Nigeria's election was rigged, why did you immediately hand over the chairmanship of ECOWAS to the same person who emerged from that election?
Why keep quiet then, only to start speaking now?
Clowns.
