Teaching children how to save energy at home and making them aware of the crucial role of using renewable energy in lighting up homes and improving livelihood in poor, remote communities is perhaps the most effective foundation for having an energy-efficient &sustainable future.
As a teacher, I am grateful because through this book, my students will be able to understand the benefits of taking care of our environment by conserving electricity and using renewable energy.”

Wishing everyone a happy National Heroes Day! May we always remember and honor the sacrifices and bravery of all the Filipino heroes who struggled and fought for the country, including those whose names were never known.
We are glad to share one of the highlights of the event - the exhibit of “Mga Mukha ng Kabayanihan sa Ikalawang Digmaang Pandaigdig (Faces of Heroism in the Second World War)” that features Filipino heroes during World War II and their contributions to the country’s freedom.
I hope that this project will serve as a model for other similar projects in the future.”
- @EUinthePH Head of Cooperation Mr. @C_WagnerEU, 4th ASEP PURE pilot renewable energy-based post-harvest project to benefit the pineapple farmers of Don Salvador Benedicto,Negros Occidental
“The EU is proud to support this pilot project as part of our partnership with the Philippines on renewable and sustainable energy. This intervention will support the community in making use of pineapple leaves which were thrown away in the past.
Now, they can be used as high-value natural fiber, which will generate income and might become an export commodity of the Philippines. This project is therefore a small contribution towards a more circular and green economy in the Philippines.
Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB), Negros Occidental pineapple farmers can now boost their economic gains through the PURE4 project, that enables conversion of pineapple leaves to fiber through the Pineapple Fiber Decorticating Machine. #EUPHEnergy
