For the first time since about 2010 I was sad to not be at Computex this week. I’m genuinely excited about Nvidia's RTX Spark. The idea of having AI agents running locally on a laptop or desktop—not always in the cloud—is one of the most interesting shifts in computing.
But—and this is a big BUT!—I’ve also covered tech long enough to remember a lot of promises about the future of the PC. Meanwhile, Apple’s M series have completely reshaped our expectations of performance and battery life.
The hardware doesn’t arrive until the fall. I’ll be first in line to test whether this is truly a new era for PCs or just another keynote!
It’s amazing how much the AD helped my musical discovery over a decade, great mixes and artist interviews. I’m glad they’re still around even if I don’t frequently use them. The satellite radio delivery method was a challenge for me. Congratulations on a very significant anniversary.
To mark ADs 21st anniversary, I put together a field guide to some of the features, broadcasts, interviews, mixtapes, columns, and recurring obsessions that became part of the site's fabric along the way

I think it’s a little harder than you think outside of major meter areas plus it’s the classic chicken and the egg. They just don’t have the volume yet. They’ve produced about as many cars as lucid tops. It’s OK. You just need to know going into it is a hobby car. And they do great design anyone who is owned one who I respect has told me about a variety of different issues with the software in the hardware similar to when Tesla first started.
