Dolly Parton tried to withdraw from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because she thought an actual rock musician deserved the spot more.

When Parton was nominated in 2022, she publicly asked to bow out, explaining that she did not feel she had "earned that right" and worried her nomination might take votes from artists who had devoted their lives to rock. The Hall declined to remove her, explaining that induction recognized musical influence beyond strict genre boundaries. She was ultimately elected.

Dolly accepted, but apparently decided there was only one proper response.

She would earn it.

In 2023, at 77, she released Rockstar, the first full rock album of her career. The enormous 30-track project featured Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, Stevie Nicks, Debbie Harry, Joan Jett and other rock legends. Parton later explained that her Hall of Fame induction was what finally pushed her to make it.

Most people celebrate getting into a Hall of Fame.

Novamente, fui escolhida como a melhor deputada federal do Brasil no Prêmio Congresso em Foco.

E, dessa vez, levei os troféus de TODAS as principais categorias, incluindo o prêmio do júri técnico e o do júri de jornalistas, sendo a primeira deputada a alcançar esse feito na história da premiação.

Isso é muito mais que reconhecimento. É um combustível pra eu continuar a luta pelo fim da escala 6x1, pelos direitos das mulheres, da população LGBTQIA+, das pessoas marginalizadas e muito mais.

So let me get this straight.

If I buy a physical copy of a game at the store, I'll be able to install it on my Xbox and play without the disc. If it's play anywhere I can play it on my PC or ROG Xbox Ally.

If I'm traveling I can play it on the cloud on my laptop or phone. My game is available to me anywhere I go to enjoy AND when the kids want to play, I can just hand them the disc a decade from now.

Real talk, I don't see why I would buy my games anywhere else.
