I would never recommend anyone tries @Wise bank as their main business bank. We have now had our biz account frozen since Friday with very little explanation. We have staff and host family payments stuck. People are relying on this money and Wise seem to be unconcerned.
An Ofsted inspector spends 10 minutes in a classroom, observing a teacher who is under pressure. They note something they believe a teacher could have done in that snapshot. This then sits on an Ofsted report as a development point for 5 years. Is that an effective system?
@Av8trix1 Fronted adverbials is an invented category. It is illogical because some of the adverbials in question qualify nouns, ie they are adjectival not adverbial. It's not grammar anyway, it's stylistics. It's quite absurd. Using or not using one doesn't make a person a better writer.
I’ve been doing a writing-editing job. It involves getting rid of the expanded bits of noun phrases, the embedded relative clauses and the fronted adverbials. Oh dear. I won’t reach the KS2 ‘expected level.’ Good. Because it’s nonsense.
You know a Brit’s really mad when they beg your pardon, then suggest something may have escaped your attention, before apologising for being close to losing their patience. Upon reaching boiling point, there’s a chance they’ll give you all due respect before issuing the killer blow of offering you their regards.
@TweetsFromLimbo might want to rethink the headline - not sure you’d describe two men with a side hustle in something completely unrelated to children as ‘Winchester Dads’??
Had a key cut and while Timpsons, rightly, get a lot of praise for what their business does but it’s worth noticing how remarkable the average shop itself is. In an age of clinical and depersonalised retail it’s little bits of humanity have become a marketing point in themselves.
If nothing changes, 1 in 2 of us will see our lives devastated by dementia. Either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both.

@Cambs_PE@Emma_Turner75 People learn in many different ways but tailoring lessons to learning styles has proven to be highly ineffective. There are, thankfully, many evidence-based alternatives that have proven to be effective. Here are 4 to suggestions to try.

@AldiUK Why doesn’t the winchester store ever have any Apple strudel- my 13 yr old son thinks I’m lying to him every week (he could eat a whole one in one sitting)
