Shout out to the guard on 1A16 this morning to London Waterloo. He dealt brilliantly, with a collapsed passenger and stopped the train at Clapham with paramedics right there. We were on our way shortly after. Brilliant asset to SWR. @SW_Help
@PeterDWindsor@mollym_o@Racingnews365c @CameronF1TV @mrabdullahcelik This makes sense and underlined by the tech reg change.
A return of the Newey fiddle brake, but automatic & creating a turning moment with the rear brakes.
A simple weighted valve in the rear brake splitter could do this.
Altering the effort between the calipers as the car turns
Looks as though RBR might have been running a clever rear cross-brake inertia valve before they were obliged to remove it before Miami. This could explain Max's RR brake drama in MEL and his turn-in grief since China. @mollym_o@Racingnews365c @CameronF1TV @mrabdullahcelik
@virginmedia Thanks, but we need more than something vague. An update from the engineer team saying they’re working on it with them physically here looking at the green box is essential. You have multiple customers really let down by this poor behaviour of cancelling visits. Can you escalate.
@virginmedia please help - we have multiple customers of yours all with failed broadband and we get delay after delay with no communication in the GU21 area. Can you please get an engineer today to provide an update and hopefully fix….. it’s very poor customer service so far….
@SW_Help morning, chaos at Brookwood, first train cancelled, 07.12 only 5 coaches so platform still full (please put the 450’s back on this line), now waiting for the 7.23…
@CrossCountryUK Thanks for the reply JM - I assume 1 carriage actually means 4 coaches? As in a full unit? You guys must get a unit ready in advance in this event. Cancelling is far too easy an option.
@CrossCountryUK the 9.49 out of Basingstoke to Manchester, you’ve only put 4 coaches on it - it’s rammed! We’ve paid a large amount of money to be like cattle. Get more coaches on it at the next stop, Reading. Surely you’re aware of the rail issues elsewhere…..
@SW_Help Yes. However the points failure is on the fast line. All trains going towards London are currently crawling through Brookwood passing the platform edge. Make the occasional one stop and you’ve halted all your additional taxi expenses and upset customers.
@NetworkRailWssx@SW_Help What's the latest with the bridge? And @NetworkRailWssx , you need to own up - that's clearly been hit, potentially by a road/rail vehicle, as the bridge has been lifted causing the foundations to rip out and the bridge to resettle off centre - then tell us when it'll be replaced
#EltonJohn walks onto stage like the mid-70s man he is - and then strikes up on the piano with all the energy of a man in his mid 20s. He’s a bloody legend. #Glastonbury Amazing.
#OnThisDay May 21st 1871 (152 yrs ago) Europe's first mountain rack railway - the Vitznau to Rigi line - had its inaugural ascent to 1550m above sea level. It was later extended to the summit of Rigi Kulm; it enabled an Alpine tourism boom & still runs today. It is chuffing epic.
@DaveWallsworth@British_Airways A misguided, myopic shame. Social media provides an excellent marketing tool for airlines particularly for acquisition customers. I took my family to Asia many years ago and was thrilled when you flew us home on the A380. That sort of engagement money, literally cannot buy.
@SW_Help morning. Since the land slip every peak train out of brookwood seems to be 8 car and is rammed? Why? There should be plenty of stock which just needs to be moved around. Can you get them back to 12 car…. This crowding is dangerously intolerable…
@RobHarris Great content and top sports… you’ve done well, although in our house you’ll always be remembered as the voice behind ‘certificate PG’ #ifyouknowyouknow
