Bank of Uganda does not fix or directly control the exchange rate.
Uganda operates a floating exchange rate system, meaning the value of the Uganda Shilling is mainly determined by demand and supply for foreign currencies like the US Dollar. BoU may occasionally buy or sell foreign currency - not to force the shilling to a specific value, but to reduce excessive volatility and maintain stability in the market.

The Bank of Uganda today welcomed the Governor of the Bank of Namibia, Mr Ebson Uanguta, and his delegation for a series of high-level engagements aimed at deepening cooperation between the two central banks.
The discussions reaffirmed the longstanding relationship between Bank of Uganda and the Bank of Namibia, including the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on issues of mutual central banking interest, including monetary policy and research collaboration, digital payments and oversight, prudential supervision, and the macroeconomic and financial sector implications of oil and gas developments.
With Uganda advancing towards first oil and Namibia emerging as one of Africa’s important oil and gas frontiers, the discussions also explored monetary policy considerations arising from resource discoveries, energy-sector financing exposure, and sovereign wealth fund management and governance.
The governor and deputy governor, together with teams from the Bank of Uganda, hosted technical presentations aimed at strengthening peer learning, institutional coordination, and alignment of central banking priorities with national development goals.

If God’s agenda is the ultimate agenda, then every believer must answer two questions:
How do I know God’s will?
Spirit-Led
How do I accomplish God’s will?
Spirit-Empowered
God’s work is never achieved by human wisdom alone - it requires divine direction and divine power.
