@alexboge Importantly if you assume the measurements you made are ±1 pixel then 2904/2895 = 1.0031..., and so the uncertainties in the photo are compatible with the accepted value you quoted.
@elysiantechne@probnstat This is a good explanation of why the variance grows linearly with λ, but there could be a dimensionless factor. Your argument doesn't preclude, for example, var = λ/2 or 17λ or whatever.

@TerribleMaps I... I don't know. If the missing sign is still missing do I hit "Still There" or "Not There"? Also, how can I tell if a sign is missing or not? Brilliant user experience from @waze.
@HalfInteresting The footage of 'St. Croix' in the NYC-tax-avoidance video (https://t.co/RgJnJSA9CU) is definitely not of STX, which has no high-rises.
@thedragonLML Just watched your House of the Undying Ones video and was reminded of the Grateful Dead lyrics of "Days Between" https://t.co/dpn03ef3OI "Comes the shimmer of the moon / On black infested trees" but *all* the lyrics carry a lot of ASoIaF themes.
