Her face was red with embarrassment.

I walked past.

Then I stopped.

“Everything okay?”

She sighed.

“I'm just having a difficult month.”

I nodded.

“Yeah. That happens.”

Then I smiled.

“After all… people who manage their money properly don't end up broke.”

She looked at me.

And I watched her remember the exact words she'd said six months earlier.

The silence was enough.

I walked away.

Because sometimes the best comeback isn't an insult.

It's handing someone their own words back and letting life add the interest.

A mother just walked out of a North Carolina police department and said this:

Her son, Aamari “Shawn” Eubanks, vanished Dec. 4, 2024 on a short drive to pick up his grandmother’s mail.

The next day they found the car in the woods. Window smashed. Blood everywhere. No Shawn.

She says 20 months later:

• The detective forwards calls her to voicemail

• The SBI agent on the case is a former Burlington officer who won’t call her back

• They told her if she keeps looking into it, they’ll arrest her and that he isn’t even entered in THEIR missing persons database.

A blood-soaked car is not a closed case. A mother asking where her son is. This is not a crime.

What do you make of this? Things aren’t adding up…

My girl cousin found a video in her sons phone of him throwing up gang signs , she took his phone & made him take up sign language classes for the whole summer since she said he wanna talk with his hands , that’s my type of carrying on .
