A great teammate doesn’t care who gets the credit.
They celebrate your big night like it’s their own.
They set screens, dive for loose balls, and commit to defense — all without worrying about stats.
Every coach and leader must guard against the 6 D’s:
Doubt. Distrust. Delay. Disbelief. Defensiveness. Distraction.
Spot them early.
Fix them fast.
Protect your team culture.
It’s okay to make mistakes in practice. That’s what you’re supposed to do. If you’re not making mistakes, you’re not challenging yourself enough. The more you take risks and learn from your mistakes in practice, the better you’ll perform in games.
Haters are like crickets. Crickets make a lot of noise; you hear it but you can't see them. Then, right when you walk by them, they're quiet.

CAPTAINS: Leadership is more than a title, position, status, talent, or having a "C" next to your name. Leadership is an action that moves your team forward. A leader helps their teammates to be their best. A leader makes others better. A leader is a positive influence.
High school sports are so much more than wins and losses.
They’re where you discover grit, perseverance, and what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Every practice, every game, every teammate; these moments shape you for life’s toughest challenges.
Excited to introduce our next commitment of the 2025 recruiting class….Makenna Balzer! Makenna attends Trinity Academy in Wichita, Kansas. She also plays for Next Level (out of Wichita) on the summer circuit. We are delighted she is going to be a Bluejay! #TaborProud#25Jays
@TaborWBB got themselves 3 of the best HUMANS in the state in @MakennaBalzer4, @KatieAEvans5 and @AnnaDuncan25. These kids are UNCOMMON in their walk of life.
I am so happy they get the opportunity to experience such awesome time in their lives together.
Go BLUEJAYS 💙💙

“You’re never going to reach, any goal that you want to reach without a strong work ethic. You can’t cheat your work ethic. It has to be your common denominator,” Rick Pitino
It’s not about the talent you have, it’s about the effort you give.
