@Scoobenz see, I loved she mentioned the mask because instead of a pointless macguffin it likely has major implications for the overall narrative. I can easily see a scenario where I retroactively forgive some of Ragnarok’s shortcomings if it leads to payoffs in Laufey or future games
I was ready for PlayStation to move on from the God of War franchise after the disappointment of Ragnarok, but the trailer for Laufey has given me an idea of where the next 3 or so games are going. And if I’m right… I will reclaim my GOW hype the way Kratos reclaimed his blades
Finally replayed God Of War Ragnarok before hopping into the DLC. I was let down by the story a year ago but was willing to give it another chance. Man, I’m even more disappointed now. It’s both a narrative/thematic mess AND underwhelming in terms of scale. What happened here…
@LanceMoore16@Mason11599@RossJacksonNOLA I’m sorry I had to bring up this moment but the nerd in me had to share it. But since I’m being nerdy, I want you to know there were FOUR times during the streak where you caught Drew’s only TD of the game. He got the record because of you!
Drew Brees holds the NFL record for consecutive games with a TD pass at 54. That streak was snapped in 2012 against the Falcons. In that game Lance Moore uncharacteristically dropped a TD.
If Moore catches this TD the streak would’ve been 100 games, almost doubling second place
Drew Brees stats that sound fake but aren’t:
From 2011-2013 Drew Brees had 3 straight seasons with over 5k passing yards.
No other qb in nfl history has more than 2 seasons of over 5k passing yards in their career.
BREAKING BOOM!
LANE KIFFIN ADDS ED ORGERON TO LSU FOOTBALL STAFF
BATON ROUGE – Ed Orgeron is returning to LSU and will serve as the special assistant to recruiting and defense, head coach Lane Kiffin announced.
“I’m excited to bring Coach Orgeron back to LSU,” Kiffin said. “He brings us tremendous value with his ability to recruit elite players nationally, but especially the impact he can have for us recruiting the great state of Louisiana. Coach O understands my expectations and commitment to being a championship program. I look forward to seeing him with recruits and his intensity working with our defensive players.”
Orgeron returns to LSU after spending nearly six years as head coach of the Tigers, a span that saw him lead the program to a 15-0 mark and the national championship in 2019. @LSUfootball #LSU @Lane_Kiffin
I’m so glad the Pelicans have given up on the notion of playing competitive basketball. Rooting for a team in the playoffs looks stressful and not fun!
There is not a single move the Pelicans could make this offseason that would give me confidence in Joe Dumars or make me think this franchise will soon achieve sustained success.
That being said… I think this hire is mostly fine and I will not be reacting emotionally to it
BREAKING: The New Orleans Pelicans are hiring Jamahl Mosley as the franchise's new head coach on a five-year contract, sources tell ESPN. Mosley accepts the Pelicans job after five seasons in Orlando where he guided the Magic to three consecutive playoff berths.
@john_siglerr Adam Silver’s league scheduled a Pelicans playoff game during the last wedding I went to on this side of the family, but it was the 2024 OKC series. So I gotta be honest, he did me a solid there
The NFL scheduled it for Week 4 because my close personal friend Roger Goodell knew I would be out of town for a wedding on 10/4 and didn’t want me to miss a Saints home game. I’ve always had a lot of respect for that guy!
I wonder if putting the game in Week 4, not Week 3 and closer to the anniversary, was the NFL's concession here. Figured the Falcons wouldn't play ball if they wouldn't even let their logo go on the statue.
