it's primary night in IA, MT, NJ, NM, SD, and my home state of CA!!! @cspan has your back with live coverage before, during, and after polls close in all six states.

State Financial Officers Foundation (@SFOF_States) CEO @OJOleka said his organization has stopped $6 billion in fraud linked to government-related programs, and breaks down how SFOF monitors waste, fraud, and abuse:
"We've often seen some of our financial officers using artificial intelligence… to kind of scrape through the data to see if there's an anomaly of disbursements going out, then they know that's the place to look. It's been revolutionary in terms of the technology, but also the energy, and the focus, and the will to stop some of these things from happening."
.@amprog fellow Anne Knapke discusses the economic impact of the Iran war and "Liberation Day" tariffs on American farmers and the agriculture industry.
"I think what [tariffs] means is we need to stop being so dependent on trade markets. It's always going to be more important to U.S. agriculture, but how do we build more resilience here at home for our food system? How do we ensure that we can ride the waves a little bit better so geopolitical challenges don't impact our pocketbooks and the health of our agriculture system so severely?"
"It's a catastrophe. It's like voluntarily boarding up Yankee Stadium or taking a sledgehammer to the Louvre."
@meidastouch Chief Washington Correspondent and former CBS News reporter Scott MacFarlane (@MacFarlaneNews) talks about what the closure of CBS Radio News last Friday means to him and for the future of the media landscape:
Investigative journalist Catherine Herridge breaks down eligibility criteria and the application process for the Trump administration's taxpayer-funded $1.776 billion "anti-weaponization fund" for those who feel they have been unjustly targeted by the Justice Department.
@C__Herridge: "There will be a five-person panel that is set up. One of them will be selected in consultation with Congress, and they will make decisions on individual cases. …What we don't know is how the process is going to work. But based on this Justice Department memo, there will be some transparences, some sort of auditing function, within it."
.@CookPolitical Report's @JessicaTaylor discusses the effect of a Trump endorsement after many of his backed candidates won their primaries on Tuesday night, including Texas Senate GOP candidate Ken Paxton.
"I think the Republican primary electorate is going to follow Trump's lead… Trump's endorsement [of Paxton] had a real negative effect on his party as a whole. I think it tells us Trump thinks about what Trump wants. He's not thinking about what is best for the party as a whole. It really struck me because he was more restrained with his endorsements, for instance, in 2024… but this is sort for a more unchained Trump."
.@OvidRx co-founder Dr. Jeremy Levin discusses his new book on biotech and what the rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic taught the world about the biotech industry.
@jmaxlevin: "It wasn't an issue of politics. It was an issue of understanding the import of science, the import of having an incredibly viable FDA, and the import of having companies that really are motivated to find cures in a way that is so important to all of us."
.@InGlobalAffairs Director Jonathan Guyer (@mideastXmidwest) discusses a recent study conducted by his organization focusing on American public opinion of the war in Iran. 78% of those polled are blaming economic problems on the war, and over 60% of those polled are letting the war influence who they choose to vote for come November.
"I think one of the most interesting dynamics that comes across in our survey is: Americans don't have a great sense of why we're at war. … What we end up with is an American populace that I think is deeply informed about foreign policy and has a lot of strong ideas, and that goes counter to a lot of the truisms that foreign policy doesn't matter in elections as much."
C-SPAN's "Ceasefire"
@SenatorSlotkin and Sen. @TimSheehyMT discuss attempts in Congress to pass a war powers resolution blocking hostilities in Iran.
@DashaBurns hosts.
Watch tonight at 7pm ET on C-SPAN.
