"creator of the stars of night" is in all the anglican hymnals but it's not one of the top advent hymns. compare "all glory laud and honor" which is only ever sung in english to "st theodulph".

the religious/political vision of the magisterial reformers is not far from a recovery of how things worked under charlemagne.

the places where they don't agree (purgatory, saints, mary, the eucharist) are much less scripture-based in the CCC
