We are seeing the toll from political violence and goons in Kenya.
- Ruto's government has averaged 990 deaths annually from political violence.
- Uhuru Kenyatta, for 10 years, averaged 415 fatalities annually.
Kibaki averaged 404 deaths annually, with 2008 being his worst year at 1,097 deaths.
Note: ACLED records fatalities arising from political violence across the world and records deaths from riots, demonstrations, and battles.
I don't think this issue is getting the serious attention it deserves, this is literally PeV08 blueprint while Wanga & Kaluma are out here gaslighting us bana
This is how the violence started in Homabay
Those are goons surging
Then wakaingia kwa shamba wakajificha
Kumbe wamefunga barabara na mawe
Then attacked from behind
Guys more than 500 people wamekatwa katwa
Is this a country🙄
I have told the story of how my late mum (a midwife) spent half her money building clinics in far flung areas in Homabay (my home county). RACO Rural clinics (named after her and my father Rosemary Akinyi and Charles Okeyo) had a nurse/CO that my parents paid from their pockets.
I am not a nurse so when my parents died, I took on rural education projects to continue their legacy of working with communities. In 2019, an MCA and some men in a village brought down a water tank and a solar powered community library I saved to build for the students to study in the evenings because I am unmarried and didn't seek their permission.
I come from Homa Bay and I will tell you this: let that county and it's people stay with their problems.
Halafu age group ya 35-45 who are bearing the brunt of Jubilee 1 and 2 plus terrible county leadership on top, are you registered to vote? Numbers still low.
Or will you come to the socials to blame boomers who are registered and show up at the polls?
An impressive, massive upper level trough brought cloudy & chilly weather in the #Kenyan highlands, #Nairobi and South Eastern Counties today.
The trough will weaken in the next two or three days and chilly/cool weather conditions will persist in these regions at least up to Wenesday this week before slighly warming up.
Watch:
I think we make spouse selection way more complicated than it needs to be sometimes.
Strip it all the way down.
Is this person flexible when life doesn’t go according to plan?
Are they relatively emotionally stable, or does every inconvenience become a crisis?
Are they conscientious? Do they do what they say they’re going to do? Can they manage themselves and their responsibilities without being parented?
Are they agreeable enough to cooperate, compromise and consider someone besides themselves?
Because you’re not just choosing someone you’re attracted to or enjoy spending time with.
You’re choosing the personality you’re going to solve problems with for the next 40 years.
And the research on this is actually pretty consistent: lower neuroticism and higher conscientiousness and agreeableness are associated with greater relationship satisfaction.
Sometimes the fundamentals really are the basics.

URGENT PUBLIC STATEMENT
Just to confirm that I am being interrogated by officers from the Zambia Army over the two videos I released earlier today.
I appeal for calm from all our supporters as we allow the due process to proceed.
When I say that a broken country is a risk to everyone, I am not exagerating stuff. Picture this, a senior officer goes out on a jog, gets knocked down by speeding vehicle, he's taken to hospital where no staff are in, he starts getting treated 5 hrs later. Succumbs!
@Rozay_kamau She had that segment on Citizen TV 'Who owns Kenya' to rub it in your faces. Every one year before elections She's activated like a sleeper cell to launch the 'Peace Peace Peace caravans' .
I'm giving her 3 months tops to be activated again.
