Are you getting fed up with everything being BREAKING NEWS?
Every new day it's:
🚨 "THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING."
🚨 "YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT."
🚨 "THIS IS HUGE."
Then... it's just more of the same.
It feels like we're being kept in a perpetual state of anticipation—always waiting for the next "big" event, the next revelation, the next crisis.
Every new day we're told everything is changing.
Yet somehow we end up running the same hamster wheel.
Is it just me, or has the attention economy become more exhausting than informative?

@WallStreetMav Regardless, it's reckless and unnecessary. You really think being in the top 1% means mistakes can't happen? That's the same logic we're constantly expected to accept whenever experts get something spectacularly wrong.
@MarioNawfal I thought the challenge was to describe this in one word: Overengineered.
We've officially reached the stage where inventing solutions to imaginary problems is considered innovation.
"Free the rich" has to be one of the most unintentionally hilarious slogans I've read this year. Who exactly are they imprisoned by?
If success is everyone's birthright, why do so many hardworking people need two jobs just to stay afloat? Funny how the people already at the top always insist the only thing holding everyone back is... not giving them enough freedom.
@marcosagusstinn Russia! China! America! ...and then there's Brussels, making sure the average European can't catch a break.
Funny how every threat is external, yet many Europeans feel the biggest pressures come from the people governing them.
The debate shouldn't be "EU or no EU."
It should be "What kind of Europe do we want?"
The original European Economic Community (EEC) was built around a relatively simple idea: cooperation over conflict. Remove trade barriers, encourage the free movement of goods, services, workers and capital, raise living standards, and make another European war increasingly unthinkable through economic interdependence.
Today's European Union is a much broader political project than the EEC ever was.
Whether you think that's progress or a mistake, it's worth asking:
At what point did economic cooperation become political integration?
Discuss.

The political EU is the problem, not the original idea behind European cooperation.
The EEC was founded on cooperation, free trade, and mutual benefit: removing trade barriers, allowing the free movement of goods, services, workers and capital, raising living standards, and making another European war less likely.
That's a very different vision from today's EU.
Because reaching Mars is ever so important to the preservation of humankind and this planet... meanwhile on planet Earth (not planet Elon), humans can't breathe for all the conflicts, or eat, find a home, pay for energy, utilities, food, get decent healthcare or education, most are struggling to get by day to day. Genius.
I'm sure a lot of Ukrainians and Russians (I am referring to the average person living under these horrible and whacky circumstances) are living in the NOW, and hoping this all ends NOW!
But he seems more interested in trivial organisations of which he isn't part of "for now", or politicians who will live or die in the "future".
@reality_revolt_ Never lose hope in the power of stupidity, for not only does it breed faster than any virus, but it also manages to carry on through generations. 🙃😉
@triffic_stuff_@TRobinsonNewEra Say what you will, but both men have a track record. One keeps stumbling into politics, exposing his ignorance. The other has spent decades in it and has been written off more times than I can count—only to keep proving his critics wrong.
