Here is my motivation: As a physician, watching patients suffer from preventable complications because a doctor wasn't accessible in time is why we built @docarion_hq.
1 minute setup. 4 minutes symptom check-in. Under 5 minutes to a real licensed doctor & verified prescription. We're making AI a valid companion in health care delivery.
Thank you all for the massive love & RTs!
When you fall sick at home in Nigeria, your only options shouldn’t be a 5-hour hospital queue or self-medicating at a local chemist with no medical training. 🇳🇬
For months, @evidencechecked, @Doctware@KunnujiC and I have been building @docarion_hq to get you in front of a licensed doctor in under 10 minutes:
⏱️ 1 min: Set up your account once for life
💬 4 mins: Quick AI symptom check-in (English, Pidgin, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo)
👨⚕️ < 5 mins: Consult a real doctor & get your prescription across 200,000+ care points
We’re representing in the @CerebralValley × @AIatMeta Global AI Hackathon (with @basetenco & @modal_labs)!

I am about that point again and will soon be calling some of my connection to run another personally contribution and hopefully can pull this string successfully a second time.
by the way, the contracting opportunity is still very viable and if you willing to learn how to do that, i will gladly teach you how. contracting in Nigeria is too good money. You just need to be good at service delivery and good relationship (because relationship is what will bring your money out ooo-in many cases).
Some details in this story might be a bit fuzzy, as it has been a while since it all happened.
I don't know who this will help in today's Nigeria; it is a true story of my life as a business persons and how i raised 2 million in 2019 for my contracting business from almost 20 persons. Anyone can do it if you're trying to raise funds for your idea.
So I learnt about NGO contracting and went. for it, created a company, company profile packet an, registered as a vendor with few of them and started bidding on the business nobody wanted.
Few weeks later i got a deal of about 270k. I did not have the money to fulfil it at hand, so I reached out to my classmates and some friends. I asked them to borrow me 50k for 10% interest monthly.
Several persons said know, i guess its mostly the packaging persons (audio Money people because the offer was too good). Just enough persons agreed and i had about 300k.
First deal was completed successfully. Other deals began to come, electronics, office furnitures, printing jobs, gas supply, i was bidding on everything and getting paid in 30 -45 days.
I collected more money, the highest person gave me 800k and i was paying their monthly interest consistent. Six months in and the were now calling me personally to give me every single free 50K that entered their hands.
business continued successfully until COvid hit. By the time covid hit, I had over 2 million form several 50k to 2 persons with 800k and 400k respectively. All the rest where my fellow small contributors.
With the lock down, i returned everyone's capital to my partners and focused back in medicine. After covid, this my guys wanted to force their money down my throat, the monthly cash as too good to lose.
We paired the longitudinal EHR with NDPA-consented, dual-scrubbed data. We also countered public-label & regional bias via MDCN-doctor NSTG audits available publicly, multi-language voice/text models, and for outreach we use rural kiosks with location & zone-aware epidemiology across Nigeria.
While the system may encounter edge cases failures, it nonetheless represents a significant advancement compared to the current healthcare realities faced by the average Nigerian.
I truly appreciate your deep dive into these technical considerations. Trust me, we’ve learned more throughout this process than we ever could have imagined when we first started. Thank you for the thoughtful feedback.
When we refer to “real-world longitudinal patient records” in Docarion, it operates on two distinct levels:
1. Operational EHR captures a patient’s full medical history once and persists it across all care touchpoints—pharmacies, clinics, and hospitals—ensuring true longitudinal continuity rather than siloed, isolated encounters.
@docarion_hq@silverpenydr@evidencechecked@Doctware Considering Nigeria as a whole, there will definitely be variation in the data, which might introduce inherent biases that need to be addressed.
Maybe these aren’t the questions for now but really need to consider them for deployment sake after your hackathon. I wish you success
This is another good way to get patients to speak to a doctor if you need medical help. If you fall sick at home and it’s difficult to see a doctor, this is a good initiative
Ruth buried her husband of 41 years on a Friday.
On Sunday she woke up with crushing chest pain.
The ambulance team said heart attack.
Her arteries were completely clear.
Her heart had changed shape.
Can grief actually break a heart?
It can. Doctors call it takotsubo syndrome.
In an NEJM study of 1,750 patients, about 90% were women, average age 67.
Twist: surgery or infection triggered it more often than grief.
Chest pain always means the ER.

Daily inulin fiber was linked to less knee arthritis pain, lower pain sensitivity and stronger grip in a 6-week trial of 117 adults, and 96% stuck with it. Not a replacement for exercise; ask your doctor first. Follow for more.

@The_Real_EJC@silverpenydr@Doctware@docarion_hq No only are we closing the loop. For the first time, Nigerians will have an embedded proactive preventive healthcare system that goes beyond just the message to becoming proactive and integrated into our way of life.
3 viral health claims, checked: a cortisol cocktail that promises you will feel better immediately, an oat drink named after a weight loss medicine (40–50 pounds, people said), and cold water said to burn fat faster than anything on earth. I watched all three, then checked...
Spot on @The_Real_EJC! 🎯 For cases needing investigations, @docarion_hq connects Diagnostic Labs & Radiology Centers on the same network—and supports rapid point-of-care tests (like Malaria RDTs) right at local care points so the doctor orders labs, reviews results, and prescribes in one flow!
There's a lot for the Nigerian people. Its never has been thought of what we're bringing.
@osemagnum@silverpenydr@Doctware@docarion_hq Thanks Chief. I am looking forward to onboarding you soon so you don't have to be consulting in your DM, either free of paid. above all, your patient will have a longitudinal persistent EMR.
