It has been confirmed that actor Kim Soohyun was in a relationship with an actress who debuted as an idol singer during his military service from 2017 to 2019. This contradicts claims made by the late Kim Saeron’s side, who alleged that Kim Soo-hyun dated her from late 2015 to July 2021, further exposing inconsistencies in their narrative.

According to Money Today’s comprehensive reporting on April 25, Kim Soohyun was in a relationship with Actress A for approximately three years, from around 2016 to 2019.

Kim Soohyun and Actress A reportedly built a close bond as senior and junior colleagues under the same agency at the time. It is known that Kim Soohyun ended the relationship with Actress A in the spring of 2019, about three months before his military discharge.
An industry insider familiar with the entertainment world stated, “Kim Soohyun’s relationship with Actress A was an open secret in the industry, making it impossible for him to have been dating Kim Saeron simultaneously. I recall there were several dating rumors about Kim Soohyun and Actress A. I heard he frequently sent letters to her during his military service.”

The insider added, “It seems Kim Soohyun’s side is refraining from mentioning Actress A to avoid putting her in a difficult position. I hope the truth comes to light soon.”
Another source confirmed, “While the exact start of their relationship is unclear, it’s certain they dated during his military service from 2017 to 2019. Kim Soohyun’s relationship with Kim Saeron lasted only one year, from 2019 to 2020.” They further noted, “I understand that Kim Saeron had feelings for Kim Soohyun for a long time and began dating him after she became an adult.”

Kim Saeron is known to have dated other men in 2016, 2018, and 2021, including singer Woodz and a former national athlete. She reportedly did not hide her relationship with Woodz, openly liking his social media posts and anonymously sending a coffee truck to the set of his music video shoot.

No Photos of ‘Minor’ Kim Saeron

Last month, Kim Saeron’s side, through the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, claimed that Kim Saeron dated Kim Soohyun from late 2015, when she was in her third year of middle school, until July 2021. Their primary evidence was a text message allegedly sent by Kim Saeron to an acquaintance.
In the message, Kim Saeron reportedly wrote, “(My relationship with Kim Soohyun) lasted from November 19, 2015, to July 7, 2021. I was 16, and he was 30. That’s how our six-year relationship ended.”
Kim Saeron also mentioned a photo allegedly taken with Kim Soohyun in “2016,” claiming, “(At Kim Soohyun’s urging), I signed with ‘Golden Medalist’ without any conditions and worked tirelessly on rookie casting and visual directing.”

However, her claims contain numerous factual errors. Kim Soohyun was 28, not 30, in 2015, and the “2016 photo” she referenced was found to have been taken after 2019. The agency name she mentioned, “Golden Medalist,” is incorrect; it is Gold Medalist. Additionally, there is no evidence that Kim Saeron performed any operational duties at Gold Medalist during her lifetime.

Other photos presented by Kim Saeron’s side as evidence of their relationship were similarly flawed, with some revealed to feature a man other than Kim Soohyun. A 2018 video of “dakbokkeumtang” (braised spicy chicken) allegedly filmed at Kim Soohyun’s home was confirmed to have included other people present at the time.

If we are ignoring the family, we are ignoring the core of the issue. Until they are punished, Soo-hyun won't get justice. Our goal is, justice for Soo-hyun. Not justice for society. It's not Soo-hyun's responsibility to clean trash of a society that drove him to the edge and dehumanized him.
