There is no €1b Euros wired to Kenya. This is a known crooked attempt that has been going on around. Crooks execute a purported wire out of Europe (Deutsche Bank has been a favorite) and local collaborators who purport to have received the transfer who will ask that the local Bank’s SWIFT team to “manually” check the computer system and confirm receipt. They will be working with an insider at the Bank to print a “fake” Swift acknowledgment message on this end, which is what they will tout as confirmation that the funds were wired and received.

They will then lodge a claim with the Bank for the funds. I am surprised at how audacious this has been!! It is so easy to check with the claimed sending Bank if such transfer was ever made and the matter will close there.
