Four days later, 300k views, and an aggressively negative response from right-wing SF Twitter.
Here’s the first of several follow-up pieces:
Lurie’s San Francisco & Trump’s America — Pt I: In Defense of When Moderation Isn’t Moderate
from @PhoenixProjNow

San Francisco residents are blocking the doors to the Immigration Court using bicycles and it is working. The border divides; the struggle to destroy it unites.
@IwriteOK I’m an SF local who originally moved from the South (family from Plano, Tx) and to say that SF feels safer than where I’m from would be the vastest of understatements.
Our office plans to file a motion for a new trial in this case based on our belief that an @sfchronicle reporter tainted the jury by speaking to numerous jurors prior to deliberation, which is incredibly improper. 1/
At no point does this statement endorse atrocities committed by Hamas or call for an end to Israel
Sadly, like Netanyahu, Scott Wiener is using this moment to flood the discourse with disinformation and push for violence against his political enemies
Not what we need right now!
@drivingmzstacey@BetterValencia@valencia4people@biketalkpfk The Valencia center bikeway is dangerous and should be replaced by curbside protected bike lanes or pedestrianization.
Help make that happen in a few taps and less than a minute at https://t.co/d8C2LqqBsz
We must speak up for SFMTA / the City to do something about Valencia now.
I was born in the Deep South (Ozark’s); a place with an unbroken history of right-wing, Openly Authoritarian leadership.
As such I can say with complete confidence that @GavinNewsom & @LondonBreed are starting to look quite familiar.
At today's NPC meeting, I'll be putting forward a short resolution and attached public statement regarding DSA's solidarity with Palestinian liberation. To not muddy the waters on DSA's public response, I've shared statement on the forum, but I'll share resolved clauses here:
Dianne Feinstein was a conservative Dem who never would've become SF Mayor or a US Senator without another conservative Dem assassinating SF's progressive leadership. She finished 3rd in the '75 mayoral race before being elevated to mayor when her political ally killed Moscone
BREAKING: San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors just approved a resolution urging SFMTA to implement a citywide No Turn On Red (NTOR) policy.
NTOR increases safety for people crossing the street, especially children, seniors, and people with disabilities.

The Standard -and to a greater extent the moderates - don't like any progressive momentum. Democracy functions in public for the public, and we will not lose our right to public comment.
Keep the pressure on. It's working.
