Umahi still seems upset about that interview. He wanted a debate with H.E. Peter Obi, but you can’t be playing in Division 1 and demand a Champions League fixture.
Obi’s reply was pure class. No noise, just a reality check.
Not every political heavyweight is in the same league.
They bamboozle you with macroeconomic jargon while these are the realities on ground.
In 2024/25, Nigeria recorded more deaths as a result of insecurity than Ukraine recorded as a result of war.
They use the Joseph Goebbels propaganda template on you while your brothers and sisters are kidnapped, raped, and killed in thousands daily.
APC has to go so that NDC can usher in Obi/Kwankwaso to clean up the mess.
Vote NDC. Vote Obi/Kwankwaso for freedom, peace, and unity.
Vote Obi/Kwankwaso to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.
Vote NDC so that Nigeria will be OK ✌🏾
@dammiedammie35 If at this point in your life you need VDM or anyone for that matter to tell you who to vote, then who ever you are...YOU ARE A BIG FOOL......
Video; How did I forget to post this beautiful video of His Excellency Peter Obi at a colourful event in Ekò?
It was all hugs, warm embraces, and beautiful wishes🥰
A ROCKSTAR IN EVERY REGION❤️🇳🇬
Nigeria MUST Be OK✅
"VeryDarkMan's friendship with Burna Boy is making him see Davido as his enemy. Because of the favour and help he is getting from Burna Boy, he is now inheriting Burna Boy's rivalry with Davido. That statement you made about washing Davido down if he talks about politics in Nigeria again is very wrong. You are not more Nigerian than Davido" – Geh Geh scolds VeryDarkMan.
If you don't agree with what this guy said about Tinubu and Umahi, you're the most miserable person ever.
There’s a reason Tinubu chose him as Works Minister.
For those that said Jonathan lacked courage to remove subsidy may God forgive you.
So Jonathan listening to the cries of Nigerians as orchestrated by APC and others is lacking courage!
I am not surprised, Jonathan is a good man, he didn’t shut down protests like some people used ENDSARS to do!
May God forgive us all.
We all know how dissent is silenced today
@Waspapping_ Only during campaigns and preparations for election do you see comments like this...I guess you follow for the keyboard content creators Umahi promised to empower... they've asked you guys to become tribal bigots online, what a sheme!!
On the day I left office, I left more than US$150 million as the dollar component of my investment in Anambra State as governor. I hereby provide documents that can be verified with the various banks. Had it remained untouched, this investment was expected to provide Anambra State with approximately US$10 million in annual income.
Even if their assertion were accurate—which it is not—that Anambra owed US$123 million, the government could have used the US$10 million generated annually from my savings to reduce the debt. It has now been 13 years since I left office, which would amount to US$130 million. The debt should have been fully settled by now.
Had they retained the funds I left in the bank, including the compound interest on the principal and the additional income, the total would be approximately US$335 million today. If they had chosen to repay the US$92.35 million funding, the entire amount would have been covered, leaving approximately US$242 million to be reinvested. That sum would have generated about US$20 million annually for Anambra State.
Let me reiterate that, when I left office, I left Anambra State in a strong financial position—the strongest of any state in Nigeria—and I stand by that position.
Through this clarification, I wish to state categorically that I will neither engage nor trade words with anyone regarding my tenure in Anambra State. My focus will now be on issues affecting the suffering Nigerian masses, which is the reason for my presidential ambition.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
@BwalaDaniel@PeterObi Peter Obi has never condemned your principle for collecting loan.....But we've all asked for accountability, transparency on what the loan has been used for...!
As the incumbent SSG of Anambra under @PeterObi at the time he left office on 17 March, 2014, I had the honour of personally being present when Peter Obi signed the attached handover letter. I was also present, when Gov. Willie Obiano received and signed an acknowledgement for his own copy of the letter, complete with the annexed certified bank statements, related documents and the Handover Report. The letter listed assets and liabilities - in black and red.
During the nationally televised Anambra 2017 governorhip debate on Sunday 12, November, 2017, organized by Channels Television, Gov. Willie Obiano asserted surprisingly that there were no funds left by the Obi Administration. I recall asking him on national television, how as a certified accountant and auditor he would sign off and accept financial documents, for which he now was expressing reservations. He then publicly acknowleged for the first time that some specified funds were in place and asked what was the use of saving money, when there was work to be done. As Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba would later confirm to members of the Nigerian press corps, Gov. Obiano had disclosed to him that his predecessor (Gov. Obi) had indeed left huge sums, which enabled him to independently build the Anambra Airport at Umueri.
If Gov. Obiano to whom Peter Obi handed over to in 2014 would eventually acknowledge -implicitly and explicitly - that Gov. Peter Obi indeed left the stipulated funds; a fact that was also publicly corroborated by Gov. Alex Otti, in his capacity as an ex- banker, what then, one may ask, is the beef and grouse of the incumbent Anambra State Government?
Go Figure!
I’m not sure you guys understand what just happened in Nigeria.
Over 30 young boys were arrested in Niger and locked in an overcrowded, unventilated cell with extreme heat by @official_NSCDC. They reportedly banged on the door and were ignored.
They were all found dead. Suffocated to dèath. By NSCDC. 💔
Former Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku, explains how former Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano told him that Peter Obi left enough funds for him, which he used to build the Anambra International Airport and execute other major projects.
