Developing battery projects (especially merchant ones) in ERCOT is not for the faint of heart. 2025 revenues were down an average of ~85% vs 2023, putting most projects underwater.
But the demand signal is clearly there. And with demand- particularly from relatively price insensitive customers - comes volatility, which is the air these projects breathe.
