@RyanHornex Also your new causal study isn’t worth much since it’s paywalled. No methodology or anything. I can write an abstract and hide it behind a paywall saying anything I want.
@RyanHornex Yeah I think it’s pretty obvious that when people discuss utility rate concerns re data centers they aren’t worried about 2% but a much higher rate increase
@Mellecon In the counter factual where google didn’t get this deal what could possibly have been put there to avert their budget problems? How much revenue was the site generating previously?
@RyanHornex Not paying $6 to read this. Either way it seems to repeat the same mantra that one hyperscale data center is ~2% increase for a marginal data center. So again, what’s the problem? If they build 10 hyperscale data centers my rate goes up 13% but I don’t think that’s common.
@ThomBrady5@TheAdamWaite This framing only makes sense from the perspective of government spending. My investments are not a jobs program so why would I evaluate them like that?
@VoluntaryMoron@LondonNewLibs If they’re too stupid to open a fidelity account I’m not worried about them having the wherewithal to install a communist government.
@Bobbie_Westside@tgiovanetti If supply is constrained and demand is high that causes prices to rise. I support the workers maximizing their income with whomever can pay them the most for their limited time. Do you?
