A select few people here know this, I haven't had the strength to write. On August 1st at 0214am, my wife, Eva, myself, and our 20 year old partner Vitalina were responding to a mass casualty event from a russian missile strike. As we arrived, the animals hit our location with a second Iskander missile. It landed a few meters behind our vehicle.
Eva and Vitalina did not survive. I have been in rehabilitation from a skull fracture, major ear damage, and burns for the past month. Physically I am healing well, emotionally I am destroyed.
Yesterday, we were finally able to lay the love of my life to rest. I still cannot write about any of this. But this is one of several major news articles about her, and her passing.
I ask you to read it, and to recognize her - she was a hero. She was my hero. I am less without her, and always will be.

Eva's sister is trying to fundraise to replace my armor, helmet, and a few items that were damaged or bloodstained beyond sensible use, to have me ready to fight again in 6 weeks. If you are able to help, it would be greatly appreciated - though your outpouring of support and kindness has already done so much for me.
Thank you. Sonya's post follows:
hello! iโve opened a fundraiser for equipment for Joey โExileโ Reuter, Eva Reuterโs husband
as you know, on August 1, the medical crew that Joey and Eva were part of was hit by a second russian ballistic missile strike while they were responding to save people
Eva was killed, while Joey was seriously wounded, but he survived, and soon heโll be returning to the front line to avenge Eva and everyone killed by russia, as well as rebuild their old team from Pokrovsk, which will now be called โPani Evaโ
almost all of Joeyโs equipment was destroyed in the vehicle that terrible night, so iโm currently raising funds for new body armor, a helmet, and other essential protective equipment that he personally selected according to his needs
i would be incredibly grateful if you could support the fundraiser and share it among your brothers and sisters in arms, friends, and acquaintances ๐๐ป

the post includes both Ukrainian and English versions, so it can be shared with different audiences
iโll be endlessly grateful for every donation and every share
have a quiet and peaceful day, and please stay safe โค๏ธ๐ซ
@nevaeh752 I'm healing physically pretty well. I'll be back to work in 6 weeks. Until then just trying to rest. I haven't gotten into my DMs very much but I will check them and catch up soon.. thank you so much for your concern.
I have to thank you all for the outpouring of genuine kindness in your comments and sharing of my post about Eva's funeral. Yesterday the police returned what is left of my gear from that night. This picture I think says more than I can. Rest well, my love.
