That's not whataboutism, @mehdirhasan , it's context. You cry "scoundrel" because your singling out of Israel is hypocritical and intellectually bankrupt. Why is Israel, for all its many faults, the only nation forced to defend its right to exist? Why not Islamic regimes?
@grahamemorris@StuartFrazer@FairerShare Odd selection of comments in this thread. Not sure everyone completely understands. 76% of households would enjoy a tax cut. Average saving of £566 each year. Stamp duty would be scrapped which will boost the economy and help us all.
Excellent from @karlmatchett & Simon English.
Stamp Duty is one of our worst taxes. It makes it expensive for families to move.
@andyburnham's reforms must also fix Council Tax.
Replace both with a PPT based on current values.
Fairer. Simpler. Better for growth.
This isn't about London vs the rest of the country.
It's about replacing two broken taxes with one fairer system.
✔️ 77% of households would save.
✔️ Stamp Duty would be abolished.
✔️ Lower and middle-value homes would pay less.
✔️ The most valuable properties would contribute more.
That's what fair tax reform looks like.

@ned_flaczynski A few months ago I was on a plane and almost ran into Tig boarding. I said "you are that comedian who doesn't know who people are" and she made a very mild facial reaction and sat. She ended up in seat 2A and I was in 1A. We were on the tarmac for 2 hours but no chat.
@davidshor@ianlarkin As an almost elderly lifelong democrat I was surprised when his AI videos featured Newsom and Harris. Nobody really cares about Karen Bass but many people like them.
