The clearest sign someone is genuinely doing well in life is peace of mind.
They’re not constantly trying to prove anything, competing with everyone, or chasing validation.
They handle problems calmly, sleep well, treat people kindly, and their happiness isn’t dependent on showing off success.
Other strong signs include:
Consistency ,their life is stable, not chaotic all the time.
Healthy relationships ,people around them feel respected and valued.
Emotional control ,they don’t explode over small things.
Freedom of choice , they can say no, rest, or change plans without fear.
Quiet confidence ,they don’t need to brag because their life speaks for itself.
In short: when someone has inner peace, stability, and doesn’t feel the need to prove their worth to the world.
It just occurred to me that in the next 10-15 years the vast majority of Australian Vietnamese bakery owners will retire & now that their kids are all pharmacists or investment bankers or plasterers or whatever we’re going to face an absolutely catastrophic Bánh mì supply crisis.
Don’t think you know shit. You’re a limited human being seeing and interpreting the world in a very confined and biased human perspective. Just because you feel something doesn’t automatically make it true. You’re the one pretending to know the answer. But in reality you’re absolutely clueless of many of the mysteries of the universe, like everyone else, but you just cannot accept that.
Atheists don’t go around and assert that god does not exist. Most of them simply aren’t entirely convinced that god is necessary, because they admit to themselves that they don’t know shit in the grand scheme of things. That’s the difference between many atheists and people like you, many atheists are aware of their limited, biased judgement, and therefore don’t let it control their beliefs, while you are naively fixed in your narrow world view.

Made the bug bread for my boss’s birthday (he’s an entomologist)- left it on his desk (with holes cut in the box so it could breathe) he opened it and said “where did you find a bakery that makes bug shaped bread?”
Bro, my kitchen. With sourdough starter I grew myself.
