Too many of us on one sphere. The problem is not land. It is the atmosphere. Pathogens, radiation, and pollution do not respect borders, and we still have no working property rights in the sky. There is no good nearby terrestrial surface. Two hostile options at best. The nearest star is four light years away.

If you think in spacetime terms, you are not going there. There are no generation ships. You are not uploading to silica. You are not re evolving from tardigrades. “All that stuff is just dumb.” Wormholes and 0.99c are a dead conversation. “Nobody’s excited anymore.”

People cannot think outside the wormhole and 0.99c box because Einstein sits in the head as the boss. “Just think of him as the jailer and you’ve got to make a jailbreak.” Spacetime is probably not what you want to engineer. You want the successor to spacetime.

After Los Alamos, physics may not be safe to do in the open. Quantum gravity, string theory, and M theory are what he calls Nerf physics: Not Even Remotely Physics. Safe enough to share with rivals. The culmination of human theory about base reality “stagnated abruptly and mysteriously in 1973” at the Einstein Hilbert Lagrangian.

Otherwise, he says, “we’re going to die here in short order.” The toys are too good. Thermonuclear weapons have not been used in anger since 1952. That streak will not last forever.

The puzzle is not a faster rocket. It is reconceptualizing what we have wrong.

PROJECT LOOKING GLASS is where the UFO rabbit hole starts getting fucking terrifying.

The story says the government were trying to build a machine that could look into the future. Look at it and different timelines. Change something in the present, look again, and see what future you just created.

Then it gets insane.

Dan Burisch claimed Looking Glass was reverse engineered from Stargate technology and somehow connected to information preserved on ancient Mesopotamian cylinder seals. He also claimed future humans were involved... coming back through time because something had gone badly wrong in their own timeline.

That means the technology may have existed in a fucking loop: future humans give it to us, we build it, and eventually become the future humans who bring it back.

Here’s why I don’t laugh this shit off. The U.S. absolutely ran a real deal classified program called LOOKING GLASS. Project STARGATE was real. The government really researched remote viewing and altered consciousness. The Gateway documents are real. Physicists really have published serious work on wormholes and closed timelike curves. And official government FOIA logs even contain requests specifically naming Project Looking Glass. (image attached to the comment in the post)

And the thing that really fucks with me is this: the operators supposedly discovered that eventually the timelines started converging. No matter what they changed, reality kept heading toward the same outcome.

Imagine having a machine that lets you manipulate the future... and then one day it basically tells you, “You’re done. This happens no matter what.” If even a fraction of Project Looking Glass was real, then somebody may have already looked ahead and seen something they couldn’t stop.

I tested GPT-Astra on mathematics. It's a quantum leap. You can talk with the model and prove the statements live in Lean. The feeling is absolutely stunning.
