I think if authors are too poor to survive piracy and readers are too poor not to pirate then we need to have a really serious conversation about where all that money is and why it isn't circulating properly.
you do not have to “come out” in order to openly live your life as a queer person. i have never formally come out but i don’t hide it. if you can’t tell i’m gay that’s not my problem.
when you live far enough north it literally doesn't matter if you stay on standard or daylight savings, it's still not going to be light outside in the winter when people wake up. It's a pointless argument.
It’s unnatural, and taxing to the body, to be forced to wake up when it’s dark. There are more car accidents, heart attacks, and various other health issues that increase after the switch to daylight time.
I wish it wasn’t illegal and indeed punishable by death to tell an old best friend that you miss them all the time and will be sorry forever . But it is
adaptations should be faithful to the source material. unless i havent read the source material. then its fine to change things. unless i read the source material after seeing the adaptation and like the source material better. then its not fine anymore
the reason for the difference in how mlm and wlw media are perceived is very simple and it’s the fact that women face misogyny and are inherently viewed as second class citizens so a story between two women is viewed as the least important type of romance
I'm not sure how many more times we need to see/hear about violent men calling women "bitch" as they assault & even murder them before we accept that misogynistic slurs aren't neutral.
If someone tells you "no 'bitch' isn't a derogatory word about women, you're so woke" and starts an argument, use this case as an example. It's the word men use most often when hurting women because in the language "bitch=women". Anyone who denies this is just cope and misogynist
