For <$200, you can plug an external 1TB SSD via thunderbolt 5 cable for similar perf

@windbite @9to5mac The price had been like this since Mar/Apr. The additional tariff adjustment for US destinations was because of this bloke @realDonaldTrump . We too hope we could use off the shelf NANDs to make this, for a much lower cost. We can’t, it’s Apple’s NAND 😮‍💨
