"We are witnessing a killing of civilians that is unparalleled and unprecedented in any conflict since I am Secretary-General," says @antonioguterres responding to correspondent's question on Gaza.
Though he supports Israel’s right to defend itself, and alleges Hamas uses human shields, Senator @ChrisMurphyCT tells me he thinks “the number of civilians being killed right now inside Gaza is unacceptable,” adding it may mean Hamas only grows in strength. Watch our full intvw.
As someone who was heavily involved in the Afghan Evacuation in 2021 after Taliban took over Afghanistan, I must say this. For months, my colleagues & I were receiving tens of calls every single day from officials, parliamentarians, congressional members, athletes, artists, trade unions, from every continent asking us to save lives! I swear that I personally spent days convincing a group in the US that we don’t have to evacuate dogs since Taliban were not into eating dogs!
How do you think we should feel right now as we see your reaction to #Gaza_Geniocide ?
Where did your humanity go? Principles? Women’s rights? Seriously how do you justify this to yourselves?
Hospitals are being targeted and you provide a justification for that? Is there another bottom that you still have not reached.
Politicians have perfected the art of making all electoral failings the fault of everyone else except themselves: Voters, INEC, Security Officials, Election Monitors, CSOs…everyone else except the politicians. Meanwhile, it is the actions of politicians that permeate each group.
Palestinian doctor Izzeldin Abuelaish, who lost more than 22 members of his family to war with Israel, says that Palestinians "are not numbers, they are human."
"I lost faith in humanity because the world was watching what is happening."

BREAKING: Palestinian Authority PM says that Israel can never reach its goal of destroying Hamas, as it is an 'idea, it's not only a military structure or an organization'
I am deeply concerned about clear violations of international humanitarian law that we are witnessing in the Middle East.
The protection of civilians must be paramount.
They are #NotATarget.
Nobody is above international humanitarian law.
The disaster in Gaza cannot continue. The world must act to save innocent lives. But just as a humanitarian response is critical, it is equally important to lay out a path to a two-state solution and a democratic Palestine. Israel cannot bomb its way to a long-term solution.
