Those risks arenโt independent. The factors in red likely all increase the tendency for LDL to become atherosclerotic, so lowering LDL would probably reduce overall risk across the board.
Sure, fixing underlying metabolic dysfunction would be ideal, but that can be very difficult in practice. So this new treatment may help some folks
