Years ago, I bought a wacom bamboo tablet. I know the technology has gotten much better (and much cheaper) over the years. If you have an inexpensive writing /drawing tablet that you love, will you please share? Looking for a new one as I prepare to start making videos :)
My amazing librarian did me a solid and we now have copies of _Infinite Powers_ by @stevenstrogatz for a book study in PreCalc H. So excited.
What's everyone's best advice on how to best run a book study in these unusual times? (cc @samjshah )
“Pretend That I’m A Cop - Part 1”.
Nepantla Math is showing all of us what to do with a math education blog in 2019.
Innovative format. Essential topic. Very excited to learn from these folks. Subscribe & support! #iteachmath https://t.co/uru6XCG54Y
Phew! Fluxions, differentials, irregular staircases...They just set us up to face modern calculus, so let's jump there.
Seven days ahead to read ch. 10 & 11 (#S4) and find more interesting stuff 🔍
Happy reading & commenting! 🤓

To those of you in the INFINITE POWERS book club #ipowersbc@iPowersBC, I hope you’ll enjoy this week’s reading on modern calculus (chapters 10 & 11, #S4). Forgive me: There was so much more I wanted to say, but the book was already getting too long and my deadline was looming!
It's been a while, but teachers reported yesterday (!)
Any #MTBoS or #iteachphysics people doubling up on an Earth and/or Space Sci class, or have a colleague who is? I'd love to connect!
I've buried different drafts of this post for almost 2 years because the fear surrounding "publicly not knowing" is so messy and complicated, but it's also something I want to talk openly about more with my students.
So here we go 😬...

Teaching a math intervention class this semester, and one of my objectives is to teach students how to advocate for themselves. What strategies have you used to teach students to ask meaningful questions? #mtbos#iteachmath#algchat
If anyone is willing to be a tad vulnerable and super helpful, I'd love to see some examples of current teacher resumes/CVs. I haven't updated mine since I graduated from grad school so I'm not really sure what it should look like now... #mtbos

Okay #MTBoS - hit me with your favorite intro ideas or examples to hook Ss into thinking about piecewise defined functions. I intend to define abs value this way out of the gate for my Precalc kiddos. Want something a bit deeper to dive into next
