Today's Telegram ban is proof of why an indigenous social media or messaging app can never grow in India.

If @durov was Indian, he would be in jail along with his entire team and his entire infrastructure seized because a question paper was supposedly leaked on Telegram. It would have taken a few months to get bail. Line of FIRs stretching to Kanyakumari. Court cases dragging on for a decade or more. TV channels would have gone to town with all kinds of consipracies of how Soros is involved.

We have vaguely written laws, open to the worst interpretation and bureaucratic overreactions. It's not a stable foundation for anyone to build on.

The same applies to now AI. Anyday someone will be offended in this country by anything an indigenous AI generates in text or images and the founders can find themselves in jail and fighting court cases.

#Imp: The blocking of Cockroach Janta Party’s Twitter account shows that the present BJP government has completely lost the plot when it comes to dealing with genuine democratic voice of the country’s entire future generation. A regime so insecure that it fears satire, dissent, and youth expression exposes its political decay and regressive mindset.

Such fascistic censorship cannot, and will not, survive forever. In fact, it has only scored a MASSIVE self-goal. The government’s power derives legitimacy ONLY so long as people LEND it credibility and continue to believe in its moral authority. The moment citizens begin to see its action as arbitrary, vindictive, and politically malicious, that legitimacy ceases to exist.

The blocking of CJP’s Twitter handle, and the repeated attempts to target and disrupt its Instagram presence which has grown MASSIVELY, unseen in recent history, is nothing but an ILLEGITIMATE exercise of power carried out in absolutely bad faith. It internationally spotlights the RAPIDLY deteriorating condition of our free speech, free expression, civic liberty, and democratic culture. It is also an assault on the constitutional guarantee of peaceful assembly, political participation, and our non-negotiable right to dissent.

This censorship epitomises EVERYTHING that stands AGAINST the very idea of India. Attempting to silence an ENTIRE GENERATION’S voice because it perhaps refuses to conform to the present system and state of affairs is authoritarian INSECURITY.

History is witness: regimes that begin fearing jokes, hashtags, students, artists, and young citizens are usually regimes that have already started losing the battle.

तो सरकार को कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी में राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा का खतरा लगता है! वे लाखों करोड़ों युवा की आवाज को राष्टीय खतरा बताकर उनकी बातों को ख़ारिज नहीं कर सकते हैं!

राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा पर क्या खतरा है पता है? यह खतरा तब है जब
-कोई शीर्ष पर बैठा व्यक्ति आसानी से युवाओं को कॉकरोच बताकर उनके मुद्दे को ख़ारिज कर देता है
-जब अगर कोई युवा अपनी बात करे तो उसकी बात सुनने के बजाय सीडीह उसे अर्ब�� नक्सल,पाकिस्तानी,एंटी नेशनल,सोरोस एजेंट बता दो
-मीडिया और सोशल मीडिया पर फ़ौज बनाकर हर सवाल को बुलडोज़ करने की कोशिश करते हैं
-बस चुनावी जीत को हर सवाल समस्या का जवाब मान कर मुंह मोड़ लेते हैं! अहं में आ जाते हैं
-जब पब्लिक डोमेन में नीट परीक्षा पेपर लीक साबित होता है और सरकार कहती है की पेपर लीक ही नहीं हुआ था
-राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा तब होता है जब पूरा देश आर्थिक संकट की बात करता है, दिक्कते झेलता हैं और टीवी मीडिया ऐसे समय में हिन्दू मुस्लिम करता है

जनता को जनता समझना शुरू करना चाहिए! सत्ता और गवर्नेंस खासकर रामराज्य की पहली शर्त विनम्रता होती है! अगर यही विनम्रता कड़वाहट में बदल जाए तो ऐसे हालत पैदा हैं! जनता को कॉकरोच समझना बंद कीजिये! उनसे संवाद कीजिये! उनके अकाउंट को ब्लॉक नहीं कीजिये उनसे कनेक्ट कीजिये! उनकी चिंताओं को एक्सेप्ट कीजिये रिजेक्ट नहीं! ऐसा करने पर न आपको इनमें कॉकरोच दिखेगा न राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा का खतरा दिखेगा! सब अपने दिखेंगे!
