OK - so CrossOver running on the Apple M1 (ARM64) is possible thanks to Rosetta2 since the binary is compiled only for x86_64 (kinda makes sense since this is Wine ) - here is another game that it handles well on the M1 chip - Call of Duty 1
Oh nice - Kali now has a fully working aarch64 installer that runs out of the box under Apple M1 qemu-system-aarch64 - here is the config I used for the installation ISO
