From now on I will only support what's enabling me to live a self-sustained and self-custodial free life, allowing me to stay out and far away from all of the deplorable rest, without exposing a grip allowing others to pull me back in. Go gaslight yourselves if you must.
@IOHK_Charles@blinklabs_io I like the idea. I also find it okay that you become a drep, it's an open protocol. I also find it okay that you as an ADA holder and skin in the game go and vote. It's all fair game. I don't like how you feed the negativity and fuel the escalations.
@JaromirTesar No but we need to. We just need some basic liquidity. Otherwise there might be no reason at all for the price to recover. Only alternative, if some big Cardano entities had sold ADA earlier amd could deploy stablecoins.
I won't claim that the @pogun_io proposal is perfect.
In fact, I understand and agree with some of the criticisms against it.
I wish IO would be open to making some changes to the proposal. But that's not the world we live in.
Still, the fact remains that there are 4 truths that we, the Cardano community, must come to terms with:
1. Winning Bitcoin DeFi would change Cardano forever.
2. @pogun_io is a unique solution that does not exist in crypto DeFi. (non-margin loans)
3. We need to move beyond the "let's do EVM DeFi better than Ethereum" mentality to find Cardano's USPs.
4. We don't know which solution can win us Bitcoin Defi. @FluidTokens? @SundialProtocol? @CharmsDev? Or someone else's?
That is why we have to experiment. We have to take risks. And we must be willing to embrace uncertainty at times. We need to make bets.
That's why I believe this proposal should pass.
We are an eUXTO chain. The fact that we cannot point to anything we can do differently, Defi-wise, than the EVM world should be an embarrassment.
@pogun_io offers us an opportunity to do just that. That's why I think we should take it.
@ItsDave_ADA I agree with your perception and critique. I don't agree with your reaction to it. I don't think Cardano is far enough and stable yet to risk getting more and important people mad. Let's not burn our house down because our brother is in hard times.
