@cuda_is_oom@realwow_mao what are you saying? are you saying that it should be 5/1 apartment to SFH? because personally i think that’s unreasonable in the sense that more than ~0.20% of people want to have a family with an actual
house. otherwise i dont understand what your argument is
@The_Fair_Ground@c0mputer_d4te@realwow_mao sure but then what is your solution to mundane/boring seattle sprawl? i would argue that apartments, while good for housing prices, the more that we build makes it just as visually unappealing, if not more than single family homes, which is the crux of the argument
@c0mputer_d4te@The_Fair_Ground@realwow_mao ofc and there is def an argument to be made that making bikes/other similar types of transportation a forefront of city-planning/policy is important, however, the car-centric sprawl is already there so what do we do about it now?
@oh1mdorry@realwow_mao there is definitely an argument for a benevolent dictator esp cuz we’ve seen what democratically electing a president has done to our country but the problem is that it’s not realistically feasible
@The_Fair_Ground@c0mputer_d4te@realwow_mao yeah but every city has suburban sprawl. there is a downtown and a suburbs of every city that exists
in america so what is wrong with someone wanting to by in/by seattle while not living in a dense apartment
@cuda_is_oom@realwow_mao i’m not; if i’m being retarded please let me know in a way that actually explains it to me so i can learn rather than vaguely just throwing insults at me
@cuda_is_oom@realwow_mao do you think SFH is unethical or by saying beyond SFH what do you mean? i understand larger lot sizes in the suburbs but it’s because people wanna have SFH with yards and the whole 9 yards and i think that is okay. if you disagree let me know and if i misunderstand also lmk
@c0mputer_d4te@The_Fair_Ground@realwow_mao because cities are more than their downtowns. i can fully understand living in downtown seattle, in an apartment, living your best life. but i can also understand loving seattle but wanting to have a traditional single home house with a yard. you can’t have that in the “city”
@The_Fair_Ground@realwow_mao yeah sure but also people are gonna come to seattle who want a large lot for their family and that is perfectly fine. i think by providing a moral judgement to that decision we are overreaching esp because seattle is still beautiful regardless of suburban sprawl
@realwow_mao also for the record this isn’t necessarily a just bland response because i am curious what you would do alternatively. i’m all in for improving shit but i just can’t think how we would do it without the somewhat mundane suburban sprawl
@realwow_mao how are we gonna have people live in the area to observe the natural beauty without suburban sprawl? like i understand the point but people have families and don’t wanna live in apartments their whole life. i live in seattle and love it but there isn’t really an alternative
@LEGOBATMAN2PS3 respect the picks but saying best player ever is kinda insane cuz realistically no franchise has ever seen their best player ever. players get better every year so every single team hasn’t seen their best player yet 100%
@slime_machine what should i do if i spent a majority of undergrad towards going to law school instead of doing creative stuff like i want to do purely because i thought that financial security was what i wanted when truly i just want to make cool shit but don’t know how
