@GoodwinMJ Ah, it's because the Conservative party is not right-wing enough that everyone is saying that they will vote Labour!
My goodness, what a moronic take.
@debonairchap @edwardkeyjf No it hasn't. It really, really hasn't.
Even if immigrants paid into, and took from, the public purse the same on average as the native born, then the increase in working population eases pressure on public services. Please, just think about it.
@debonairchap @edwardkeyjf OMG, so ill-informed. Of course it matters what the native population do. Think about it.
And I know "the stats", and the academic studies. All of which support the common sense view, which again can be derived by a little thought.
@hardtimeshere11 @edwardkeyjf Simply not true. Immigrants are here to work. Which is why they contribute more to, and take less from, the public purse than the native population on average.
@debonairchap @edwardkeyjf What on earth gave you that idea? Immigrants are here to work. On average, they contribute more and take less from the public purse than the native born.
@mar1f70 You don't get it, Mr Arif. We pay Mr Lineker's wages. Therefore his comments on political issues are neither acceptable nor balanced and a little less of the 'Old Boy', if it all the same to you. I treat you with respect!
@ClausVistesen Right, thanks. I guess if the govt told the DFA to change its schedule, it wouldn't have a choice. It'll need to change something in its 2024 issuance plan at some point anyway. But either way, Jan of course is when a big no. of syndications come to market as well as auctions.
@ClausVistesen I think it has been one big driver, as has CPI & the (now frothy) narrative that the yield cycle has turned. The illiq. secondary market is being used to buy blocks of bonds. Do you think the DFA is considering a delay? It normally takes pride in keeping to its schedule.
