The entire gaming ecosystem seems to be lagging behind more popular narratives like AI and memes.

Study teams who are still actively building behind the scenes - one of those includes @Tabichain, the first modular gaming chain built with Cosmos stack that includes interoperability and multi-vm compatibility.

Below I expand on this new gaming L1 and their novel blockchain architecture while exploring their innovative token mechanics and cover how you can get ready for its launch.

#G_G

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

1. TLDR
• Tabi is a modular gaming chain built using the Cosmos SDK with multi-VM compatibility (EVM, SVM or MoveVM) enabled by PolymorphismVM.
• It uses a ParallelBFT to enable parallel consensus to achieve 4x faster consensus.
• Introduces a novel $veTokenomics mechanism for the gaming L1 to align all key stakeholders though bribes and vote gauges.
• GTM includes starting with Asia to onboard the 1.5b gaming population + tap on rich IPs and cultural powerhouses.
• $TABI token and mainnet launch is scheduled to launch in Q3 2024.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

2. Blockchain Architecture
• Omni execution layer: Polymorphism VM with multi-vm-compatibility (EVM, SVM, MoveVM) + easy onboarding for traditional developers as they can build using any traditional languages and frameworks.
• Modular consensus layer: ParallelBFT consensus is used to propose and organise blocks in parallel. This allows >200k TPS per instance with instant finality and parallel execution.
• Modular security layer: Service can choose to use protocols like @eigencloud or @babylon_chain to enable shared security.
• Parallelism Sharding: dApps or games deployed as a standalone service + independent node (customise their own consensus mechanism and execution environment).

At the core of it all lies an economic model designed for sustainability + growth, aiming to incentivise users, developers and node operators which will be covered below.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

3. Collaboration over Competition
With the PolymorphismVM, a key component of the Omni Execution Layer, Tabi enables traditional developers to use any crypto native VMs or create custom runtime environments with any language and framework (mimicking traditional development run-times).

Key Features:
• Enhanced UX: Customisable gas tokens and payment methods to simplify signing and onboarding.
• Flexible Credentials: Supports various login methods, including wallets, DIDs, and SSO logins.
• Language Agnostic: Allows development in any language and framework.

Mass adoption and integration
PolymorphismVM simplifies blockchain development by removing complex concepts like gas fees and private keys - this hopefully promotes mass adoption of gaming devs.

It also enables other chains to support diverse language environments, easing the transition for traditional developers. Through the Omni Execution Layer, Tabi connects games across different chains into a unified gaming ecosystem, fostering collaboration over competition.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

4. Token Details
The ticker for Tabi is $TABI with a max supply of 10b, and 40% of it will be allocated to node mining rewards.

(a) Token utility
• Native gas token on Tabi L1
• Muh governance
• Staking to get $veTABI
• Incentives

(b) Staking
• $veTABI: Token holders (community) can lock $TABI for $veTABI for gauge voting on the Tabi ecosystem (similar to Curve) —> top voted games get higher rewards incentivising game developers.
• Supervisor Nodes: $TABI can also be staked with supervisor nodes to earn block rewards.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

5. Flywheel Effect
With their tokenomics structure, Tabi effectively creates a twin-flyweel effect:
• $TABI and $veTABI strengthens ecosystem participation from both the community and developers to promote a healthy economy.
• All stakeholders are incentivised to be active and participate in the ecosytem —> aligning everyones’ interest.
• $veTABI gives users voting rights to support their favourite games. The flywheel: users vote on top games —> better games built —> distribute more rewards to users —> more users enter the ecosystem.

The in-economy flywheel kickstarts a bigger flywheel for Tabi: as more users and better games enter the ecosystem —> Tabi can attract the best games + vampire attack games from other ecosystems —> this brings in even more users + node operators + game developers which increase the demand for $TABI + stake $veTABI for more voting rights —> token does well which will increase the value for $veTABI and continue the in-economy loop —> on-chain revenue is also directed to game developers which ensures sustainability.

This brings the concept of bribes and vote gauges popularised in DeFi to the gaming ecosystem, another strategy compared to doing a vanilla NFT mint and gaming token launch.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

6. GTM
• Start with Asia where there is a huge gaming culture with rich IPs and cultural influences (e.g. anime).
• Asia also has 1.5b gamers (half of the entire world’s gaming population) and China, Korea and Japan remains powerhouses of games.
• Onboard strategic partners such as incubators + Asia-based gaming studios + gaming guilds.
The Tabi testnet + Voyager campaign is currently live for users to interact with the chain.

There are currently ~20 games building on Tabi as of current time of writing. These games have raised from large investors such as @animocabrands, @Sfermion_ and @TheSpartanGroup:
• @gabby_world_
• @Wizzwoods_game
• @cradlesio
• @degen_game
• @Anome_Official
• @genki_cats
• @heroguys_io
• @crazyantsonline
• @WandererGamefi
• @KeplerHomes

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

7. Traction
• About ~20 games onboard that will be deploying on Tabi.
• Leveraging other ecosystems’ communities to find PMF (e.g. Tabi’s first incubated + flagship game @Wizzwoods_game, is currently in testing on the @berachain testnet).
• Tabi testnet: Over 20K DAUs, 4m wallets and >86m transactions.
• Launched the Voyager campaign aiming to bring more users to the ecosystem through social media onboarding + invitations.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

8. Valuation Comps (30 May 2024)
With recent L1 fundraises, we expect Tabi to raise a fundraising round at a valuation between $200-$500m FDV. Exploring a tier 1 listing strategy would imply a minimum $1b FDV upon listing.

Comping it against other gaming L1s:
• Immutable ($IMX): $3.3b MC / $4.5b FDV
• Beam ($BEAM): $1.3b MC / $1.6b FDV
• Ronin ($RON): $980m MC / $3b FDV

There is definitely (potential) significant upside for Tabi with the right execution, but must be noted that incumbents already have traction with users + games + developer community. Tabi would have to offer something exceptionally different to vampire attack different stakeholders to their ecosystem.

10. Personal Thoughts
(a) Upsides
• Beyond technical innovations, Tabi tries to introduce a sustainable economic model through user and developer alignment though its twin flywheel model.
• Users and developers are seamlessly integrated with validator nodes (Supervisor Nodes) and this is powered by an incentivised governance mechanism ($veTokenomics).
• Backed by big brands such as Binance Labs (potential entry into listing) and Animoca Brands (distribution + biggest gaming investor).
• Differentiation amongst other gaming chains through being the first Cosmos gaming chain + $veTokenomics flywheel + partnerships with Eigenlayer + Babylon Finance.
• $veTokenomics has the potential to align incentives of all stakeholders involved (players, game devs, and the chain).
• Founder has a good track record of building projects, with his previous project managing to get listed on Binance with a peak FDV of $1.5b.

(b) Downsides
• Vampire attacking the market share dominance of Ronin, Beam and Immutable may prove to be an insurmountable task given they already have traction + stickiness.
• Tabi could be seen as a very Asian centric ecosystem which makes it hard to penetrate western markets.
• Introduction of $veTokenomics which is very complex and DeFi native may backfire since it targets a very niche audience (DeFi power users and whales).

Missed $IMX and $RON?

Then don't miss @Tabichain, the next big Gaming-focused L1 — that is backed by @BinanceLabs and with TGE upcoming in Q3 2024.

Here's how you can get exposure to $TABI #G_G 👇

🟪 Tabi: A Leading Gaming-focused L1

• Tabi is a Gaming-focused L1, built using Cosmos SDK and with EVM compatibility.
• With PolymorphismVM™, developers to deploy games in any execution environment, whether they are built using Web3 or Web2 languages and runtimes.
• Tabi currently has a pipeline of >20 games, which will be the lifeblood of Tabi's gaming-focus — among these flagship titles include @cradlesio @Wizzwoods_game @gabby_world_.
• Tabi previously raised a Seed round @animocabrands, @BinanceLabs, @HashKeyExchange, @ivcryptofund.

🟪 Chains Features

• >200,000 TPS per instance (i.e. dApp).
• Instant finality.
• Parallel execution.
• Any-VM-compatibility.
• Shared security.

🟪 Thinking about PolymorphismVM™

Polymorphism enables developers to build on any classic Web3 VM or build their own runtime with any language and framework.

PolymorphismVM will enable:
1️⃣ Improved Chain UX: Customizable gas tokens and payment methods, to mitigate signing and onboarding friction.
2️⃣ Credential Agnostic: Developers can enable various login methods – across wallets, DIDs, and SSO logins.
3️⃣ Language Agnostic: Build on any language and framework by integrating PolymorphismVM.

🟪 $TABI Token Economics

Tabi features a two-token model with $TABI and $veTABI.

• Holders may lock their $TABI for $veTABI, in order to get access to gauge voting on the Tabi ecosystem.
• Similar to gauge voting on Curve, gauge weights may be decided through governance – with the top Web3 games on Tabi receiving $veTABI rewards.
• Through gauge voting, Tabi empowers the community to vote for top games via a Curve-like mechanism, and games can incentivize/bribe voters through their own incentives.

🟪 Why I'm Bullish

1️⃣ PolymorphismVM will bring Mass Adoption to Tabi

• Through Tabi’s PolymorphismVM™, developers will be able to build using any language on Tabi — while also abstracting concepts like gas or private keys to improve the user experience.
• This easier Chain UX exposes Tabi to mass adoption themes, relevant for its focus in building for Web3 Gaming.

2️⃣ Large Competitors Trading at Billion Dollar FDVs

• With its exposure to Web3 Gaming infrastructure, Tabi primarily competes against Ronin ($2.7bn FDV) and IMX ($4.0bn FDV).
• This implies that Tabi, with the right execution, may be able to trade at multi-billion FDV upon TGE.

3️⃣ An Innovative Approach to $TABI

• Tabi’s innovative approach to $TABI will see the introduction of veTokenomics through $veTABI, with elements of gauge voting and boosted $veTABI rewards inspired by Curve.
• Tabi’s upcoming node sale will see the sale of 200,000 Captain Nodes, which can elect Validators and Supervisor Nodes (i.e. Watchers).
• Tabi will also see exposure to Restaking and AVS through partnerships with Eigenlayer and Babylon, where games can opt into shared security with Ethereum and Bitcoin as well, by staking $ETH or $BTC.

🟪 Getting Exposure to Tabi

• Tabi will soon be conducting a Captain Node Sale, of which node holders will get exposure $TABI mining rewards.
• The Tabi team have specifically studied prior node sales, and are committed to making the Captain Node Sale a much fairer one than others.

Stay tuned, as I may award Tier 1 Captain Nodes to my followers!

[Avail @AvailProject]

Unified ecosystem, unified experiences. Powered by Avail.

[Avail @AvailProject]

With the Avail DA mainnet approaching, it's about time we gave you a refresher on its core features. They make us different from other DA layers.

A deep-dive into
1. Validity proofs
2. Erasure coding
3. Light clients
4. Data availability sampling
5. Expandable blockspace

(1/6)

[Avail @AvailProject]

Avail gives you interoperability with all other blockchains, no matter where you choose to build. OP Stack, Ethereum, Polygon CDK, you name it.

With the foundation of a common DA layer built for security and scale (Avail DA), interoperability between chains is drastically simplified.

Why?
They share a common trust zone. DA provides transaction ordering, and then execution proofs verify state transitions.

How?
Combining both transaction ordering and execution proofs is the key.

Nexus doesn’t enforce integration requirements on developers - you can build wherever and Nexus just works.

[Avail @AvailProject]

Hear us out, if you’re building an L2 on Bitcoin, you should use Avail. Here’s why:

BTC L2s can move 99% faster when leveraging Avail DA as an intermediate fast DA layer before posting to Bitcoin for DA.

Avail DA has 20 sec blocks and takes around 2 blocks to reach finality providing DA guarantees to L2s in ~40 seconds.

Bitcoin has 10min blocks and reaches finality every 6 blocks providing finality in ~1 hour.

Your BTC L2 can post transactions to Avail DA every 20 seconds and receive interim finality in 40 seconds. Transactions can then be posted to BTC for DA every 10 min and finalize in ~1 hour.

[Avail @AvailProject]

It's time for the final few steps for Avail DA's mainnet!

So far, thousands of chains have been deployed and more than 100 million transactions have been processed on the testnet. We just have a few more things to do before we launch our mainnet.

1. Light Client Challenge to test the core part of Avail DA's infrastructure.

2. Deploying the final testnet that will run in parallel with the mainnet indefinitely for testing.

3. Tooling/Infra Optimization including bridging UI and extending hardware wallet support amongst other enhancements.

4. Getting production ready by fine-tuning incident management and critical response processes so that we can respond to any emergencies.

5. Close Clash of Nodes incentivized testnet. Information about rewards for participants is coming soon.

6. We’ll gradually increase our validator count as we establish the strongest and most decentralized security layer in the modular ecosystem.

7. Rollup Stack Integrations so that developers can build on whichever stack they like.

8. We have a lot of exciting launch partners and are working towards on-boarding more every day before the final release of mainnet!

Of course, there are also some exciting steps we’ll be taking along the way to incentivize and reward our community for their participation
