Nine Bangladeshi nationals were intercepted at O.R. Tambo International Airport on Thursday after attempting to enter South Africa using fraudulent South African visas and fake Indian passports.
According to the Border Management Authority, immigration officials detected irregularities during processing and discovered the visas were allegedly issued fraudulently through the South African High Commission in New Delhi.
Three women travelled on Bangladeshi passports, while six men initially presented fake Indian passports before later producing Bangladeshi passports.
All nine were denied entry and arrangements were made for their deportation back to Bangladesh.
BMA Commissioner Michael Masiapato praised officials for the interception, saying it highlights both the growing sophistication of international document fraud syndicates and the importance of strong border security. Investigations are continuing into the origin of the fraudulent documents and possible links to transnational criminal networks.

Hawks Commander—Accused of Trying to Take Over Aeroton R300 million Drug Bust Scene—Tells Madlanga Commission He Lived at Alleged Criminal Cat Matlala’s Mamelodi Home for Two Years but Never Met Him
Witness I, a Sub-section Commander within the Tactical Operations Management Section (TOMS) of the Hawks, told the commission that he lived at the Mamelodi home of alleged criminal Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala for two years after surviving what he described as a targeted attempted murder. He said he never saw or met Matlala during that period despite staying at the property for safety reasons.
He testified that he was attacked by a group allegedly sent to eliminate him and that he was never informed of the identities of those responsible. Witness I said his firearm was later recovered by the Tactical Operations Management Section (TOMS). Following the incident, he moved to Matlala’s residence for protection after the attempted killing.
Witness I stated that he was placed in an unoccupied house and that the Matlala family was not present at the property. He claimed that a backroom tenant told him part of the premises as belonging to Matlala. He further told the commission that he had no prior acquaintance with Matlala and only heard his name after senior officers arrived at the scene.
The commission also examined Witness I’s involvement in the March 2021 Aeroton R300 million drug bust, where he attended with SANEB officials. He was questioned on his attempt to take control of the crime scene, with commissioners raising concerns about his authority, reporting lines, and understanding of official procedures.
Commissioners Madlanga, Khumalo and Baloyi challenged his conduct, arguing that he had prior information about the operation but still proceeded without proper communication. Witness I repeatedly declined to comment on key allegations and accepted certain versions put to him during cross-examination.
The attacks on Ian Cameron weren’t just attacks, but smear campaigns carried by General Khan, using the EFF of Julius Malema. Because he has minions that are always hungry to attack others.
Ian Cameron appointed as the DA’s MP drew serious backlash, where some popular X users were seen declaring him as a racist, because the Cartel knew that Ian Cameron serves with honour and integrity, he was gonna disrupt them from running their crime networks.
Honourable Ian Cameron was attacked by the EFF minions, instructed by General Khan, using his puppet Malema.
#madlangacommission Gen Mbotho must be criminally charged for defeating the ends of justice by interfering in a case that he was not investigating .He facilitated the release of 17 dangerous hitman(inkabi) in Rustenburg .
Madlanga Commission Evidence Reveals that Documents of Former Ekurhuleni city Manager Mashazi’s R3.5 Million Luxury London Trip Allegedly Paid by Ze Nxumalo Was Later Shared With Crime Intelligence General Feroz Khan
Zig Revenue Management, the company of Mr Ze Nxumalo, paid Mr Sayed’s company Onyx Aviation R3.35 million to fly former Ekurhuleni City Manager Ms Imogen Mashazi, her husband and two friends to London for a weekend trip in July 2022. This forms part of testimony examining potential undeclared benefits to public officials and links between business figures and municipal leaders.
Zig Revenue Management received an invoice from Onyx Aviation for the return private jet charter, attached as Annexure TN27. On 12 October 2022, Mr Sayed forwarded to General Feroz Khan copies of the UK Immigration entry forms for Ms Mashazi and her party, together with the Execujet charter permit issued by the UK Aviation authority. These documents are attached as Annexures TN28 and TN29 respectively.
The commission is scrutinising the full chain of events, including how funds flowed to Zig Revenue Management and the subsequent sharing of official travel and immigration documents with a senior Crime Intelligence official. This has raised questions about relationships between private aviation providers, business intermediaries and state security figures in the context of broader procurement and governance inquiries in Ekurhuleni.
Julius Malema is NUMBER 1 on Annexure C the official list of 17 names tied to SAPS Crime Intelligence deputy head Major General Feroz Khan.
The biggest loudmouth screaming “corruption” and “white monopoly” daily… now leading the criminal connections list at the #MadlangaCommission.
Hypocrisy level: MAXIMUM.
The fake revolutionary is finished.
BREAKING: Explosive new revelations at the Madlanga Commission implicate EFF leader Julius Malema in providing political protection to embattled SAPS Major-General Feroz Khan.
WhatsApp messages extracted from devices linked to Khan and shared with tobacco businessman Mohamed Sayed of Carnilinx have been tabled at the Commission. In one exchange, Sayed relayed a message from Malema to Khan amid disciplinary pressures: “I forgot to tell you that Ju called me, said that you will not ever resign, no matter what, this is a fight and we will emerge victorious.”
The investigator’s report details alleged collusion between Khan, Sayed, and Malema, including efforts to influence the removal of former Inspector-General of Intelligence Dr Selumanthuro Dintwe, leaks of confidential information, and other interactions.
Malema’s name also appears prominently in Khan’s contact list, alongside figures like Adriano Mazzotti. The Commission stresses that communication alone does not imply wrongdoing, but the nature of these links will be probed further when Khan testifies on 1 July.
This comes amid broader Madlanga probes into criminal syndicates infiltrating SAPS Crime Intelligence, tender manipulation claims (including past Tshwane security tenders), and political interference in policing.
Malema has previously dismissed such allegations as attempts to drag the EFF into internal police battles. More fireworks expected as the Commission heads into its final stretch.
A full bundle of court papers linked to the summons of Major-General Feroz Khan has been released, revealing close ties and dealings with tobacco businessman Mohammad Sayed and others.
Key allegations in the documents include:
• Claims that Khan and Sayed discussed active police investigations and a proposed SAPS-branded face mask tender during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Chats showing Khan asking Sayed to urgently provide mask samples and pricing ahead of a meeting with someone who could “make it happen”.
• Screenshots of conversations between Julius Malema and Sayed relating to questions prepared for Cele regarding his alleged relationship with convicted drug lord Timmy Marimuthu.
• WhatsApp messages showing questions later sent to then Police Minister Bheki Cele by former EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi were first drafted by Khan before being turned into a parliamentary-style letter.
• Allegations that Sayed funded former Ekurhuleni city manager Imogen Mashazi’s R3.35 million private jet trip to London, with assistance from Khan.
•The papers also contain WhatsApp exchanges in which Sayed and Khan made threatening and hostile remarks about anti-crime activist and broadcaster Yusuf Abramjee following his reporting on the illicit tobacco trade.
The disclosures are expected to intensify scrutiny around political influence, interference in policing matters, illicit tobacco networks, and links between senior SAPS officials, politicians and business figures.
Khan is expected to appear before the Madlanga Commission on 1 July 2026.

What Lt-Col Nkoana Joseph Sebola is basically saying at Madlanga Commission is that they would confiscate illicit goods including drugs, foreign currency (dollars) etc at the OR Tambo International Airport, but they would recieve direct calls from senior generals to return the illicit goods to the owners.
The drugs they would declare to the media would be returned to the smugglers as soon as the media teams leave. 🙆🏽♂️🙆🏽♂️🙆🏽♂️
