@SportsTalkATL Do not take out a starting pitcher who is cruising and has struck out Schwarber/Harper three times for a lefty reliever who has struggled since the ASB. Weiss did the same shit the day before with equally bad results and only an improbable Riley HR saved us Tuesday.
@DukesandBell929@putemupcdukes@atlbell929 It can be worse. Because these last two games at least we've had hope that when Penix came back, all would be well. After Thursday, we will no longer have that hope. We will be 0-3 and Penix will still be bad. And our only option at QB1. And the excuses for him will start
@steakshapiro I believe this is part of a bigger story. Do you mean to tell me Tua just conveniently hurt his back three days before he was supposed to start game 1? Seems like the team scripted how these first games were to go. Why? No idea.
@SportsTalkATL That dude isn't ever gonna be a real competitor for the Falcons. If he can't answer the bell for week two, it's over. Start Strand and get ready for whoever they draft next season.
@SportsTalkATL IF and this is a gigantic IF, Penix ever plays decently in the NFL, I will stand up and apologize. But so far, he has shown absolutely nothing to make anyone think that even at his healthiest he could be an NFL QB
@Ikealike442@SportsTalkATL The dude should have never been drafted because of the injury history. He's happy to sit on the sideline and collect a check while Rush plays like crap.
@SportsTalkATL I already don't want him to ever suit up as a Falcon. Shameful to let your team flounder like that and you don't give a shit. It has nothing to do with ability to play- he's just washed mentally. He never was and never will be a decent NFL quarterback.
@MountainDawg107 There's no chance in hell this team escapes the first round. They have been sputtering for months. Offense is nonexistent against the last two playoff bound teams. They will win a few games but not enough to win a series.
@TheJasonKandel Sure because middling thru a season with Tua and then moving on from him without knowing if Penix or Strand is at all competent is a better outcome. The ONLY important outcome of this season is to know if we need to use 2027 FRP on a QB or perhaps a DT. Gotta know about Penix
@ohstringerbell@RevvDawg That's bullshit. I don't care what color he is - he's inaccurate, immobile, can't read a defense and to top it off, he hasn't been healthy. So what exactly does he have going for him?
