#dpschats@curriculum_dps A6: My biggest accomplishment has been that while I don't have all my students doing the work, I have a decently high percentage. I think that can be attributed to my constant calls, text, emails, and even snail mail rewards to students doing the work!
@knuppjen@curriculum_dps I agree. I am working from 6am until 4pm most days without even realizing it. Although, it is nice being able to squeeze housework and laundry in everyday compared to being in our buildings and rushing around to do it all after dinner!
#dpschats@curriculum_dps Q5: I think my biggest challenge is my Internet! I live in the middle of nowhere with my closest neighbor a mile away in Darke County. Honestly, I get up at 6am to work when I know others are sleeping & I will have a stronger signal!
@brittanyy_hodge@curriculum_dps The recording is a nice feature. We are making sure to direct students to it if they miss the live before they start the assignments that follow it up.
@Becky_Davis19@curriculum_dps Me too! I am even videoing myself, my daughter and my mother in law doing read alouds for the kids she works with in her school and been posting them on her ClassDojo for her. It's been kind of fun addition to what I am doing with our DPS kids.
@curriculum_dps Q4: I have enjoyed learning how to incorporate Pear Deck in with my Google Slides to make the presentation interactive and more engaging. I have also enjoyed using Screencastify. We are even using it for daily announcements of assignments. #dpschats
@BPorterscience@curriculum_dps It does! While one of us is teaching using Pear Deck or whatever it is, the others are helping with "classroom" management.
#dpschats@curriculum_dps A2: There is so much communication. My third grade team and I are constantly group texting and doing Hangouts. We also host 3 Hangouts a week for our third graders with all three teachers so we can support each other while teaching digitally.
@TiffanyPenn21 I have done that for some of our teachers and of course our students too. Whenever I see parents are having a tough time and their child is pretending to not know how to do it (LOL), I make an instructional video.
