@armandartaud@Thomas_Astruc And that proves my point. Mostly US government bodies and some US companies are using the new name, while everyone else still says Gulf of Mexico. A name only sticks if people actually use it. I personally think if we do change the name, I'd prefer Gulf of the Americas instead.

@armandartaud@Thomas_Astruc We are called Americans because we're the only country with "America" in the name. Lots of countries use "United States," so that's not specific. Also "Estadounidense" sounds good in spanish but "United Statesian" just sounds clunky af
