@sbalaji1 are you aware the SGST portion of the GST goes straight into the state coffers. they may have lost the ability to set the rates independently sure. you are framing it as if state tax revenues have come down to zero.

@sbalaji1 I am no economist but each of these approaches has issues (not withstanding TN can't print money) . Writing off the debt is a disservice to the savers. not to mention TN government arm twists various other arms with surplus to keep financing this blackhole :).
