If NOAA SWPC's CME model is correct, we may get hit by a pretty fast solar storm Thursday night.

Currently, there is a G3/Strong Storm watch for Thursday and Friday, and depending on what we see at Earth, auroral displays may be seen further equatorward than usual. Stay tuned!

Yet another eruption from AR 14274 with a nice coronal wave that strongly disturbed the lower corona. The associated flare was M8.6. With these eruptions resulting in halo CMEs, it would be very challenging to interpret the 1 AU in situ during 7-10 Nov .

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the following activities took place during the drills:

- The launch of the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from the Plesetsk State Test Cosmodrome in Arkhangelsk Oblast towards the Kura Missile Test Range in Kamchatka Krai;

- The launch of the R-29RMU Sineva ballistic missile from the Project 667BDRM Delfin-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine "K-117 Bryansk" in the Barents Sea;

- The launches of cruise missiles from Tupolev Tu-95MS strategic bombers.

@aborgnino It is HF log antenna for Tx/Rx. They probably have a fiber and satellite connection, it's often used as a backup. Or for SIGINT interception
