🛡️FGR's 3 at the back taking up same space as CUFC's 4 gives them an overload in midfield.

⚽️So much of CUFC's play going through Armer, FGR more connected and mixing up their attack.

CUFC forwards isolated or deep. Little width.

Millen has got Carlisle just creating more chances than they give up.

The so far solid defence faces a stern test today against Forest Green Rovers.

It’ll be interesting to see how it does against the best attack in the division.

@k25226 I thought Omotoye and Patrick played on the shoulder and Alessandra came a bit deeper to link play which helped.

We are getting outnumbered in the middle is so we have to go wide.

Not enough crosses and progression wide. Senior looked good.

Mellish did well linking play.

Decent return built from defensive solidity but I think it shows where we are from an attacking perspective.

Millen’s next task is to work out how to create more without sacrificing too much at the back.

Away vs Scunthorpe.
Then 3 home games against Bradford, Crawley and Hartlepool.

Even before bringing players in you’d like to think 8 points is achievable.

Millen deserves credit for making defence solid but until attack improves results will be inconsistent.

@RyCUFC Yeah Crawley’s game plan really worked against us. If we could get forward early we’d have success down the flanks but Crawley pressed us well and Millen wanted to keep the ball rather than launch it forward like we used to!

@officialcufc @crawleytown Crawley’s move to 3-4-3 has made them dangerous going forward but also means they can be attacked out wide and on the counter.

Carlisle have strength out wide so if they can defend well they should have plenty of chances.
