Why the fuck do they call it ADHD when there is no deficit in attention, and the physical hyperactivity is basically gone by adulthood?

@drjenwolkin Then comes the realization about what you could have been if you didn't have ADHD or if it got noticed earlier, while also having to come to terms that you'll never be able to be the person you'd like to be.

It's a rollercoaster for sure! But not a fun one.

I'm surprised I didn't burn down my apartment yet. Forgot to turn off the stove at least 3 times this week 😐

How to make tea #ADHD Ed.:

1. turn on stove to heat water
2. turn it off in fear of forgetting
3. turn it on again bc you want tea
4. forget about it till the water evaporated and the stove is glowing red
5. set timer to not forget again
6. make tea
7. forget it in the kitchen

I legit just put it down for a second in the kitchen...

And then I find myself working at my desk, wondering where tf the tea is I think I just made.

It takes a lot of effort not to hate yourself when doing such mistakes ever. single. day.
