It does appear the DA Bears are coming to Indiana and reality is setting in for Arlington Heights Mayor Jim Tinaglia.

He sounded notably defeated discussing the Bears stadium situation on the "Molly and Haugh Show".

Jim says he has “no question” the Bears have wanted Arlington Heights all along, called the failed Springfield negotiations “really disappointing,” and said the village has been the “patient, hard-working partner” throughout the process.

Asked where things stand now, Tinaglia said the Bears don’t want to wait until November for another legislative session and that, after buying $200 million in property, “nobody buys $200 million worth of property thinking, ‘I might want to go to Indiana.’” But he acknowledged the project could not get done and said the Bears now have to pursue other options.

He repeatedly returned to frustration and disappointment, saying Illinois had a chance to keep the team in Cook County and instead risks losing it to Indiana. “The choice is instead, yeah, we’ll let them go to Indiana,” he said, adding that he told Bears President Kevin Warren he understood why the team has to move forward.
