‼️🚨Breaking News (24 page report below)

I’ve received MMA Financial Intelligence Report from police on @IbrahimShujaau covering 1 Nov 2023–10 Jan 2024. He and cousin, Dep Minister Nafiz received 42.5M MVR from Council, SIWEC & others, part went to Kuda Henveiru Gang.

🔹 The highly inflated 23.03 million MVR project for - inauguration could not be legally awarded to Official Events Pvt Ltd directly, as Public Finance Regulation prohibits awarding projects exceeding 5 million MVR without National Tender Board clearance.

🔹As a workaround, the contract was awarded to MNDF owned SIWEC for 23.03 million MVR, which then subcontracted for 15.4 million MVR to “Official Events” and his cousin Mohamed Nafiz’s “Quick Sure” and a few others.

🔹They didn’t provide any itemised invoices / service breakdowns, they made lump sum billing to SIWEC. The management of SIWEC are involved in this transaction. FIU’s report suggests this is invoice padding / fake billing.

🔹Then Ibrahim Shujau and his business partner Ahmed Adham used it to make downpayment for two luxury apartments from Rainbow Construction Pvt Ltd / Rainbow Singhal Developers Pvt Ltd and many others including Kuda Henveiru Gang. They also spent on a speed boat and transferred large sums to family members. Below are the two apartments they purchased:
- RainPearl Residence Apartment No. 8B2
- RainPearl Residence Apartment No. 11B2

🔹Here are the total amounts received to them (both Shuja’s Official Events and his cousin Nafiz’s Quick Sure) from different gov organisations:
- 15,496,969.41 MVR from SIWEC
-10,545,232.60 MVR from City Council (Quick Sure)
-9,848,281.00 MVR from Ministry of Finance (Official Events)
-3,767,040.00 MVR from HDC (Official Events)
-1,296,000.00 MVR from MACL (Official Events)
-1,043,982.00 MVR from WAMCO (Official Events)
-497,600.00 MVR from STO (Official Events)

🔹FIU report clearly says that these transactions are potentially criminal under Section 151 of the Penal Code.

🔹They flagged this as illicit enrichment (Penal Code, Section 151) and noted that this needs to be investigated further. Within a few months of this report being sent to Police and ACCA, MMA’s Governor Hashim was dismissed.
