Do you know the most important number in your life?
It's your net worth.

Surprisingly, many people believe the most important number in their life is their income.

If you were to ask a random person about their net worth, most wouldn’t be able to give the right answer.

We keep track of our income but not Networth.

Income is just a flow and is subject to the uncertainties of nature/future.

It's like a river that flows regularly, but there's no guarantee that it will continue to flow tomorrow. Tomorrow, there may be no income. Do you know that rivers often dry up many times?

One should not depend entirely on income because it can stop flowing at any moment in our lives, as happened to many people during COVID.

Your net worth is like a big dam; you can use it when there's no flow in the river. The proper use of the river water results in a dam, and in the same way, the proper use of your savings from income results in your net worth.

This stock (net worth) is in one’s control, and this is what one leaves behind for their family when one departs.

The flow ( current income) is not in one’s control and can't be passed on when one depart.

Isn’t it surprising that most don’t know their net worth?
