The 6monthly mutual funds industry large mid & small cap classification has been released.
Large cap is Rs. 19.47 lac crs - Rs. 84325 crores.
Midcap is Rs. 82453 crs - Rs. 27564 crs.
Small cap starts from Rs. 27480 crs & below. The 500th co. is now at Rs. 9188 crs.

SIP data highlights -
1. 60% of the SIPs are less than 2 years old. 12% of the SIPs are 5 years old.
2. The SIP AUM is 20% of the total industry AUM.
3. SIPs monthly amount crosses 20k crores in a month in Apr 2024. 63 lac new SIPs were started, 33 lac SIPs were discontinued.

On days like today, they give investors opportunity to average their cost of acquisition.
One’s cost of acquiring long term growth is under one’s control. Rest time will take care via compounding.

China losing FDI with -ve flows in 2023.
While India got FDI flows in 2023, it’s not the only nation getting these positive flows.
Other EMs are also getting stronger FDI esp. Mexico which is getting flows thanks to its location advantage.

Looks like China+1 is China+5!
