For those passionate (or curious) about parametric design and life cycle assessment: the Python code for EPiC Grasshopper v1.02 is now live on GitHub! 🎉 https://t.co/UyXIsGMmOW
Integrate life cycle embodied carbon (GHG emissions), energy and water into your design workflows!
📢 My latest research paper on integrating Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) into the building design process has been published! #LCA#SustainableDesign
Huge thanks to co-authors Karen Allacker, @RhcrRobert, @astephan_bldgs
Link to the full paper here: https://t.co/imk9uSidqw
Parametric-LCA tools allow building designers to dynamically assess the embodied impacts of buildings in real-time. Our latest paper introduces EPiC-Grasshopper, a free plugin for Rhino that uses the latest hybrid coefficients from the EPiC Database: https://t.co/xRIRXq9diw
Earlier this year I presented the research paper “approaches for assessing embodied environmental effects during the building design process” at SBE Thessaloniki. The full (open-access) paper is now available for download!

15 years ago, 20 architecture students from Aus/PNG trekked to a remote community in PNG for a 3 month design build project. It was a defining moment for me. Today I gave a lecture at Oxford Brookes, reflecting on lessons learned. It's always fascinating revisiting old projects.
A critique of 'net zero' and why we should be focusing on real emissions reductions rather than potential future technological solutions.

Vale Archie Roach.
We have lost a remarkable storyteller and musician. A huge part of my musical upbringing. Living in the UK and listening to his audiobook of "tell me why" really helped me connect back to Aus. Incredibly powerful, raw and evocative.

If you're interested in the Life Cycle Assessment of Buildings and are thinking about doing a PhD, this is a great opportunity! It's based in Belgium, and you'll be part of a really excellent team (no bias at all🤣)

Very fun to see @tamarahking shaking things up at @pintofscience with a healthy amount of hillarious explanatory earthquake videos featuring guest appearances by some aussie animals, desserts, and a pool full of jelly!?
EPiC Grasshopper is here!🥳 A plugin to calculate the embodied environmental impacts of buildings/projects using #rhino#grasshopper. Data from #EPiCDatabase. It's free & open-source: https://t.co/CTYOvnVPRL
Extremely excited after countless hours working with @astephan_bldgs
If you're interested in understanding how to measure the environmental impact of buildings, we've just released an article explaining the data behind the EPiC Database.

The Roadmap for Research: A Collaborative Research Framework for Humanitarian #Shelter & #Settlements Assistance is out now 🥳
We hope this work results in action to make a real difference in the lives of those affected by humanitarian crises 🤝 https://t.co/fThWysp6iO
Are you a woman working in the #Humanitarian#shelter and #settlement sector? What obstacles do you face? What can be different and what needs to change?
We want to hear and learn from your experiences in the sector. Please share through https://t.co/aKbRfW6Rv3
Today is the first day of the Global @ShelterCluster meeting. Join us online 1st October for the launch at 14h00-15h30 (Geneva time GTM+2) for introductory remarks from @elakoTR and @bm_brett and an update on the @ShelterCluster Strategy: https://t.co/wmQlFXzaMn Join here:
